My Macbook Pro 2013late can not startup after installing EI Capitan ,Safemode is ok .When i try to normal startup ,some data will come out on the leftup of the screen and fail to startup,error code 0x0000000000000002.I have no timemachne backup ,but i can not lost the photos in my macbook ,how shall i do now ,anyone can help ? thanks a lot !😢
Can not startup after installing EI Capitan,safemode possible get in.
The problem is probably caused by one of the coreservices that only come into play for a full user account is crashing due to some configuration or 3rd party app on your older version of OS X that the beta failed to deal with properly when it installed itself over the old system.
Reinstalling El Capitan over itself probably won't help your issue, but you can try: the installer is probably still in your Applications folder and you can try running it again from Safe Mode.
First though, you need to boot into Safe Mode and copy your photos to another drive or upload them to iCloud or other cloud based storage.
If reinstalling doesn't help, you'll need to erase your disk and install a stable OS X by following the following instructions:
- Before you begin, you need to be connected to the Internet.
- Choose Apple menu > Restart, and then hold down the Command (⌘) and R keys while the computer restarts.
- Select “Disk Utility,” and then click Continue.
- Select your startup disk from the list on the left, and then click the Erase tab.
- From the Format pop-up menu, select Mac OS Extended (Journaled), type a name for your disk, and then click Erase.
- After the disk has been erased, choose Disk Utility > Quit Disk Utility.
- If you’re not connected to the Internet, choose a network from the Wi-Fi menu in the right corner of the menu bar (in the top-right corner of the screen).
- Select Reinstall Mac OS X, click Continue, and then follow the instructions.
Thank you so much for your reply,I did try reinstalling but it not work; Any drives even Cloud seems not useful in safemold,could not connect or upload ,would you pls tell me how to backup photo in safemold? After backup fotos I am going to erase the drive and install new os ,thanks again.
Apple's servers seem to be having some troubles at the moment - I can't log into iCloud either...
Wait a while and then log into iCloud.com and make sure that you're photos aren't already synced with iCloud.
If not, then open Photos in Safe Mode, go to Preferences, and turn on iCloud Photo Library.
If that doesn't work then it's going to be easier to copy your photos to another drive or USB flash drive if you have them.
Open the Pictures folder in your Home folder and copy Photos Library. You may also have iPhoto Library, but that is from an earlier OS and you should open it to see if you need to copy it too.
hi Max108,sorry for late reply .Finally i make my photos backup via family-group to windows-pc ,and then erase the disk ,re-install EI Capitan to my macbook successfully.Thanks a lot for your help!🙂
