Seems Apple chnaged the way trust certifcates are handled. I have over 1000 users of our business application suddenly not work after updating to 11.2.1. Im looking everywhere I can think of for an explanation. A simple re-archive and repost for updating is working but my company ground to a halt this morning!
Can anyone point me to what happened? Why?
Did your distribution profile or distribution certificate expire? Profiles are good for a year, certificates for 3 years. I think Xcode automatically creates new ones now if you compile and the old one is expired.
I dont think so. The anniversary date is in september, I use automatic signing and there have been quite a few updates to the app in the last month. I noticed another thread about their apps no longer installing as well. With the home sharing update, the root update on the macs, etc seems like they changed something which consequently broke this stuff. Oddly though I just looked at all the profiles on the developer portal and everthying is marked expired or invalid, even all the XC managed ones. And the one for my main app was marked expired in october and we have been creating and uploading updates to this app all the way through last week. Hmm....
