We need to be able to track who clicks on our app store ads and then installs all the way up to purchase.
With our own analytics, we can track who installs and then buys, but we need to know how effective our advertising is.
To do this we want to know "who" clicked on an ad and eventually also installed so we can match that user.
(Our app has a complicated personalized onboarding process and depending on the user they e.g. will receive a different starting template.)
