Adding a previous card to Apple Wallet and Express Travel Enabled
We are working with a large fintech org on project connected with provisioning payment cards to Apple Wallet. When we add a previously provisioned card to the Wallet (using the Wallet UI, Add card -> Previous card). It adds the card on one device showing the Express Travel card screen after the card is added allowing the user to set the card as an express travel card during the provisioning flow but never on our other devices. All of the test devices are clean and have only the same single card provisioned. What triggers the Express Travel Card screen to be shown during the add previous card flow? (Why is it showing on one device and not another).

Use payment data from recurring payment out of time
Maybe this is a strange question but I think it's better to ask this before trying it and see what happens; if we use the dpan or mpan of a recurring payment to make a charge on a date other than the one shown to the final customer, could the payment be made without any problem by the bank or financial institutions involved? Naturally I understand that this would mainly cause great anger to the customer and of course if this were the case this could be explained in the billing agreement, but the doubt is mainly based on whether it is possible to use a dpan/mpan for a payment other than that of the original subscription.

App Fails to Access Added Passes
We’ve integrated in-app card provisioning into our application. All required configurations have been completed, including: Token Service Provider (TSP) setup Certificates uploaded to the Apple Developer portal While the card is successfully added to the Wallet app, our application is currently unable to retrieve or read the added passes.

Optimizing Apple Pay Merchant ID Management Across Multiple Accounts and Markets
Context: Our company distributes the same app under multiple brands/flavors using three different App Store Connect accounts. The app supports Apple Pay in 17 markets, allowing users to switch between markets and pay in their chosen market. To handle payments, we currently create separate Apple Pay Merchant IDs and certificates for each market within each of the three accounts. This results in: 3 Merchant IDs per market (one for each account) 17 markets supported, requiring 51 certificates to be created and maintained Key constraints: All the apps cannot be unified under a single App Store Connect account due to certain requirements. Question: Is there a way to simplify this process by consolidating the merchant IDs or certificates across accounts while maintaining the current structure? For example, is there a way to share Merchant IDs across multiple accounts, or is there an alternative approach to reduce the administrative overhead of managing 51 certificates? Any guidance or best practices for optimizing Apple Pay setups in such multi-account, multi-market scenarios would be highly appreciated!

How to use Extended Virtual Addressing and Increased Memory Limit services correctly?
During the development of our 3D game project, we encountered high memory usage requirements. To address this, we enabled Apple’s Extended Virtual Addressing (EVA) and Increased Memory Limit services. We have confirmed that both services were enabled in the developer backend as well as in Xcode, and we also used updated development and distribution certificates when building the app. However, in our validation process, it seems that EVA and Increased Memory Limit are not taking effect — the game still experiences memory overflow and crashes. Could you please advise: The correct steps to properly use Extended Virtual Addressing and Increased Memory Limit; How we can confirm whether these services are functioning as expected?

Apple Pay on the Web Merchant Validation Intermittent 403 Forbidden
We are experiencing intermittent 403 Forbidden errors during Apple Pay on web merchant validation in our production and sandbox environment. Has anyone else started seeing 403 Forbidden errors recently (since mid-2025)? Why would merchant validation be sometimes successful and sometimes fail with 403? Could this be related to new Apple Pay gateway changes or stricter validation rules? Any additional debug steps or permanent solutions we should try? Thank you.

Domain verification
Hello! We are using "Apple Pay Web Merchant Registration API" https://developer.apple.com/documentation/applepaywebmerchantregistrationapi Recently we successfully updated the Payment/identity certificates at our main merchant ID And we have a few questions: Do we need make the Domain verification for all of our sub-merchants again after the Certificates update? How we can check the expiration of domain verification of merchants that we integrate trough API endpoint (https://apple-pay-gateway.apple.com/paymentservices/registerMerchant), and do verified domains via API have an expiration date??? How we can understand does the our universal domain verification file (apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association) have expiration too? Thanks in advance!

Does apple make commission on payments made to peers using external processing like Stripe for physical services
So I'm wondering if Apple makes commission on those payments since they're made in the app. For example a user may pay another user to clean their car. This will be handled with Stripe Connect and their balance, payment history, etc will be displayed in the app. Does Apple charge commission on that? The section the app review guidelines that I'm refrencing is below, but I'm still a little confused. 3.1.3(e) Goods and Services Outside of the App: If your app enables people to purchase physical goods or services that will be consumed outside of the app, you must use purchase methods other than in-app purchase to collect those payments, such as Apple Pay or traditional credit card entry.

How to update multiTokenContexts if ApplePayPaymentRequest does not initialize multiTokenContexts
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/apple_pay_on_the_web/applepaypaymentrequest/3955945-multitokencontexts According to this document, I know that I can initialize a multiTokenContexts when initializing ApplePayPaymentRequest. But I am now facing a tricky problem. If the user's order does not require multiTokenContexts, then I will not initialize this field when I first make ApplePayPaymentRequest. When the user is in the payment process, I may update multiTokenContexts. But this time, the update is not allowed, ApplePay will be cancelled and the payment will be closed. For example, if the user's address in Apple Pay is different, I need to update multiTokenContexts to support the payment of goods to multiple merchants, which will generate an update of multiTokenContexts. MultiTokenContexts can be updated in the onshippingcontactselected method. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/apple_pay_on_the_web/applepaysession/1778009-onshippingcontactselected My question is that from the beginning, there was no multiTokenContexts to update multiTokenContexts in onshippingcontactselected, which would cause the user to close the payment and need to manually click to pay again. This user experience is not very friendly. Is there a better way for me to go from no multiTokenContexts to multiTokenContexts without interrupting the user's payment process?

Deeplink to simply open apple pay
Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to open apple pay just by clicking a link, no need to create a payment request. If there's no way to do it, I found out that we can interact with the app through JS, but even in JS I didn't find a way to simply open it.

Event id to test merchant token event details endpoint
Hi to everyone looking for more information about recurring payments I wonder if there is any way to test (maybe by using some default event id) the merchant token event token detail endpoint, it would be very helpful for merchants if there was some configuration or event id that always returned some particular event, that way we could do a better testing process instead of doing all this with a production environment. If there is any way to use some tool or sandbox to test this part of the process please tell us about it.

Apple Pay Domain Verification: .txt Extension Confusion
Hi all, I’m running into a confusing issue with Apple Pay domain verification. Apple’s documentation says to host the verification file at: https://yourdomain.com/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association And the portal itself seems to expect the file to be served with .txt extension during verification. My first verification passed, but subsequent checks are failing — and I’m wondering if this mismatch is the cause. Should I Keep the .txt and configure my server to serve it at both paths? Would appreciate any insights or official clarification. Thanks!

Unable to retrieve already provisioned passes via Apple Wallet Extension
We have updated the PNO metadata to include the associatedApplicationIdentifiers for our wallet extensions and the issuer app. While we are able to successfully provision the card to Apple Wallet via pull provisioning, we are unable to retrieve the payment passes that have already been provisioned. How can we address this issue? let passLibrary = PKPassLibrary() let paymentPassLibrary = self.passLibrary.passes(of: .secureElement) paymentPassLibrary is an empty array even though we have passes provisioned.

Problem with cert validation and button show
Hi, I’ve been trying to integrate Apple Pay, but for some reason, the payment button is not showing up. The project is built with Laravel 11 and Vue. I imported the script as follows: <script crossorigin crossorigin src="https://applepay.cdn-apple.com/jsapi/1.latest/apple-pay-sdk.js" ></script> Then I added the following the steps: <style> apple-pay-button {{ --apple-pay-button-width: --apple-pay-button-width: 150px;; --apple-pay-button-height: --apple-pay-button-height: 30px;; --apple-pay-button-border-radius: --apple-pay-button-border-radius: 3px;; --apple-pay-button-padding: --apple-pay-button-padding: 0px 0px;; --apple-pay-button-box-sizing: border-box; } </style> <apple-pay-button buttonstyle="black" type="plain" locale="en-US"></apple-pay-button> I followed all the steps from the official Apple Pay demo: https://applepaydemo.apple.com/ I also configured the Content Security Policy (CSP) to allow all necessary resources. However, when I test my integration, the button doesn’t appear. I’ve checked the console, but there are no errors. At the same time, I have my certificate imported into the Keychain, and I’ve completed the entire process of creating both the certificate and the private key. However, when I try to validate the session using the certificate and key with Apple’s API, I get an error: 400 The SSL certificate error https://apple-pay-gateway-cert.apple.com/paymentservices/

Identifying same underlying card
Is there a way to determine if the same underlying card was used in multiple Apple Pay payments? Is there any sort of FPAN ID, fingerprint or card ID that would be the same between Apple Pay payments that used the same card? Could it be the "ApplePayPaymentPass"? https://developer.apple.com/documentation/apple_pay_on_the_web/applepaypaymentpass

Apple Pay testing in Sandbox for Austria
Dear Team, we are from Austria and want to test our apple pay on the web implementation via Apple Sandbox. As far as we can see Austria is not on the list that sandbox supports Apple Pay testing for. Can you please advise how can we move forward with testing? We have already created and also tried out our Sandbox account on iPhone 11 and successfully added test cards to the Wallet. Can we expect please in later stage some restrictions due to our region? Thank you in advance. Iveta

Approve with Side Button' is not displayed
When accessing https://applepaydemo.apple.com/payment-request-api, the "Approve with Side Button" prompt is displayed, but it does not appear when using our test domain. I implemented the Payment Request API based on the sample source code from the following URL. On an iPhone device, the Apple Pay payment screen is displayed, but the "Approve with Side Button" icon below the amount does not appear, and instead a spinning loading icon is shown continuously. Could you please help identify the cause? ■ Reference URL: https://applepaydemo.apple.com/payment-request-api ■ Changed parameter: "merchantIdentifier": "〇〇.dev" ■ Accessed domain: 〇〇test.com ■ Test device: iPhone 13 iOS: 18.4.1
