I am developing In-App Provisioning functionality within an iOS application. When I try to perform the process, the process fails and the following is displayed on the screen: "Your issuer does not yet offer support for this card".
The PassbookUIService logs show:
https://nc-pod8-smp device.apple.com:443/broker/v4/devices/xxxxxxxxxxxxxx/cards 200 Time profile: 0.25497 seconds
{
auxiliaryCapabilities = {
};
eligibilityStatus = 0;
sanitizedPrimaryAccountPrefix = "";
}
ProvisioningStepEligibility: received eligibility status: 0
Showing eligibility issue with reason: 2
ProvisioningOperationComposer: Step 'eligibility' failed with error (null)
Would like to seek your help to investigate the problem. Thanks

please bear with me, i am NOT a developer. we have third party developer creating a banking app that is throwing an error when trying to provision MasterCard for Apple Pay. MasterCard says they do not see the request come in at all. our developer says the issue is between mastercard and apple - and asked us to reach out to Apple.
Information provided from our developer:
“Error code 2 is 'system cancelled' from the PKAddPaymentPassError enum. Basically, there is an issue between Apple and Mastercard (using the encrypted card info from...”
Response from Mastercard Connect:
Upon further research with the examples you shared we are not seeing any attempt that reached to MC

Apple Sandbox is not available in India, also Apple Pay itself is not supported by Indian Banks. How can I still test using Apple Pay sandbox in India? I am trying to add test cards on my iPhone and it fails to add it. It tries to connect to Issuer, which it should not for sandbox Apple Id.
Can anyone help how to achieve this?

Hello,
While testing Apple Pay transaction I noticed my transactions were showing the incorrect App Name and image.
I was using two Apps which likely have similar names. BetRivers Casino and Sportsbook (app 1) and Bally Casino by BetRivers (app 2).
In the first image you see Bally Casino which is the wrong app, this is confirmed by the website links underneath. All our sites use a single app except for Ballycasino.betrivers. Our other tests did not display like this, so we would like to understand why it happened so we may assist our customers should question arise.
My other image is when our App opens Apple Pay, it shows the name "SugarHouse", I am unable to find the location of where this comes from, as we would want to edit this.

Dear Team,
we are from Austria and want to test our apple pay on the web implementation via Apple Sandbox. As far as we can see Austria is not on the list that sandbox supports Apple Pay testing for. Can you please advise how can we move forward with testing?
We have already created and also tried out our Sandbox account on iPhone 11 and successfully added test cards to the Wallet. Can we expect please in later stage some restrictions due to our region?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Guys,
I am having an issue verifying a card when it is pending verification in the Apple Watch Wallet App and the iPhone Wallet.
When the user verifies the card in the wallets, they are redirected to verification in my APP. However, the problem is that I don't know which application is calling, whether it is the Apple Watch or the iPhone, because the URL sends me the same serialNumber from the PKPASS. It is impossible to know if the user wants to verify and activate the card on the watch or the iPhone.
Because I only receive the following information in the URL:
myapp://app-url?
passTypeldentifier=paymentpass.com.apple&action =verify&serialNumber=*****
The serialNumber is the same from the iPhone Wallet and the Watch Wallet.
func application(_ app: UIApplication, open url: URL, options:
[UIApplication.OpenURLOptionsKey : Any] = [:]) -> Bool
{
let source = options[.sourceApplication]
I try to retrieve the source, but it comes back null. It would be the only way to know the originating App.
Can someone help me solve this problem?

Hi there. We're a large team integrating Apple Pay to a payment system.
We'd like to start building the code that decrypts an ApplePayPaymentToken before the web client code that initiates the payment request is complete.
Is there a way to obtain a sample ApplePayPaymentToken for our account to ensure that our decryption code / keys / certificates are configured properly?
(Or the only way to obtain an ApplePayPaymentToken would be through completing of a payment request, i.e. step 29 of page 21 of this document: https://developer.apple.com/apple-pay/Apple-Pay-Merchant-Integration-Guide.pdf)
Thank you
hI, I’m looking for some clarity on the rules around in app purchasing, so I play a game with in app purchases that you have random odds of getting items out of loot boxes, they split the loot into sections, so featured, mega rare, rare and common. for each of these sections they give a % chance that they show of what chance you have to get an item out of that section, I.e featured is 1.24% and common is 74% ect.
my question is should they then have to display the odds of what each item has in those sections as well or is it good enough just to have the sections with % chance? So each section could have 10 items in, should those items have a % next to as well?
any advice you can give with this would be appreciated, if needs be I can send picture examples of what I’m explaining

Hi,
I have a published app with Apple Pay integration working well. But, for business reasons, we need to change the gateway that process the payments.
I thought that I could maintain the same Merchant ID just creating an additional certificate on it.
But I figure out that I need to activate the new additional certificate to work on. When I try to activate the additional certificate I got a message that others certificates for the same merchant id will be revoked. So, I didn't yet.
I am afraid that it will stop the published app to process Apple Pay payments if I activate the additional certificate.
What is the correct approach ? Create a new Merchant ID for the new version of the app? Or am I missing something?
Thanks
Below is the case ID which we created at apple pay support portal for the issue which we are facing and we are posting same on the forum also as it is suggested by Apple pay team.

我是一个银行app开发人员,请问怎么将银行名称显示在苹果钱包“选取银行”列表中,实现用户点击跳转银行app进行免输卡号签约绑定,是否有详细接入步骤和文档?
I am implementing apple pay and the merchant validation is failing with error (error request failed with status code 417). I am using react js in the frontend and node js in backend, this is my code
const httpsAgent = new https.Agent({
rejectUnauthorized: false,
cert: fs.readFileSync(
path.join(__dirname, "../../../certificates/merchant_id_prod.pem")
),
key: fs.readFileSync(
path.join(__dirname, "../../../certificates/merchant_id_prod.key")
),
});
const data = {
merchantIdentifier: "merchantId",
displayName: "Check",
initiative: "web",
initiativeContext: "domain.com",
};
const response = await axios.post(validationURL, data, { httpsAgent });
Hello. I have a few questions about the implementation of Apple Pay payments on websites. Could you help me
From the documentation:
Apple Pay issues an Apple Pay Merchant Token if the user’s payment network supports merchant-specific payment tokens. Otherwise, Apple Pay issues a device token for the payment request.
How can we determine whether a token is a merchant token or a device token?
Is it possible to determine this by any of the token fields? https://developer.apple.com/documentation/passkit/payment-token-format-reference
Is it possible to understand this in other ways?
Can I make recurring payments with the device token if it was issued instead of the merchant token?
Is it necessary to include the tokenNotificationURL when generating a merchant token, or can we generate one without specifying it?
What does the applicationExpirationDate field in the merchant token represent? Is this the date when the device token or merchant token expires and payments cannot be made with it?
Hello,
I am developing an Apple Pay and In-App Provisioning integration for the bank where I work. All entitlements are properly configured, and we are integrated correctly with our Payment Network Operator (PNO).
We are using PKAddPaymentPassViewControllerDelegate to handle the provisioning process. The flow progresses as expected up to the Terms and Conditions screen. However, after accepting the terms, the process fails with the message:
"Could not add card."
Upon checking the device logs using the Wallet profile configuration, I observed the following response from Apple's backend:
Response:
https://nc-pod10-smp-device.apple.com:443/broker/v4/devices/041315032816900221610987313158566F368A9CEBA1291E/cards/745f792b9d0644e5a6e713d54f505296/enable 500 Time profile: 1.80458 seconds
{
x-conversation-id = "6ec59a63424f4035915e32f22ea645e4"
Vary = "accept-language"
Content-Type = "application/json"
x-pod = "nc-pod10"
x-keystone-correlationid = "E3DD5A5A-FD18-4500-8570-2BD1334E281C"
Date = "Thu, 17 Apr 2025 07:05:03 GMT"
x-apay-service-response-details = "via_upstream"
Content-Length = "49"
x-envoy-upstream-service-time = "964"
x-pod-region = "paymentpass.com.apple"
}
{
errorCode = 40456;
statusCode = 500;
}
This seems to indicate that the card enablement step is failing on the server side. Our internal systems have not logged any request failure from Apple at this step, which makes it difficult to pinpoint whether the issue is in the PNO integration, entitlement configuration, or something else.
We are currently testing in a production environment on a physical device (not using sandbox), and provisioning flows are initiated through our iOS app using PKAddPaymentPassRequest.
Could you please help us interpret error code 40456 and identify what steps we should take to resolve this issue? If needed, we can also provide the full device log and additional details.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Best regards,
Mansur Bagwan
We hav implemented Apple Pay for our project , Merchant setup etc. are properly done and we are able to see the Apple pop-up in the website , however the Payment cancelled is getting triggered after CompleteMerchantValidation event , due to this we are not able to see the final payment button
Verified Certs, Merchant details as mentioned in the thread https://forums.developer.apple.com/forums/thread/689956 , however no luck , no error seen in the console.
Any pointers to fix this is appreciable , thank you!

After opening the Apple Pay Popup and try to close the popup (without scanning the QR Code), the oncancel handler (accociated with the created session) doesn't fire.
Meanwhile if the merchant scanned the QR code and the UI of the popup changed, then cancel the popup manually (using close (X) button), it fires the session.oncancel event handler.
Here is applied setup:
const { ApplePaySession } = window;
if (!(ApplePaySession && ApplePaySession.canMakePayments())) {
return new Error('Apple Pay Session is not available');
}
const paymentCapabilities = await ApplePaySession.applePayCapabilities(
applePaymentOptionsMetaData.merchantIdentifier,
);
if (paymentCapabilities.paymentCredentialStatus === 'applePayUnsupported') {
console.error('ApplePaySession is not supported.');
return;
}
const request = {
"countryCode": "KW",
"currencyCode": "KWD",
"merchantCapabilities": [
"supports3DS"
],
"supportedNetworks": [
"VISA",
"MASTERCARD"
],
"billingContact": {
"phoneNumber": "201000000000",
"emailAddress": "example@test.com",
"givenName": "Ahmed",
"familyName": "Sharkawy"
},
"total": {
"amount": "3.085",
"label": "Merchant Testing"
}
}
const session = new ApplePaySession(5, request);
session.onvalidatemerchant = async event => {
if (debug) {
console.info('Creating merchant session and validating merchant session');
console.info('onvalidatemerchant event', event);
}
try {
// Validation Merchant Request
session.completeMerchantValidation(data);
} catch (error: any) {
session.completePayment({ status: ApplePaySession.STATUS_FAILURE });
}
};
session.onpaymentauthorized = async (event) => {
session.completePayment({ status: ApplePaySession.STATUS_SUCCESS });
};
// This doesn't fire
session.oncancel = () => {
console.info('EVENT: oncancel');
};
session.begin();
Hello,
We have implemented In-App Verification using both SMS and mobile app options. While SMS functions as expected, selecting the mobile app for verification in the Wallet app does not open our app on the first attempt. Instead, the verification window simply dismisses.
However, if I select "Complete Verification" again and choose the mobile app, deep linking works as expected, and our app opens correctly.
This issue occurs with any bank card and app I’ve tested in Wallet. Could this be a bug in the Wallet app where deep linking fails on the first attempt but works on the second?
Hi. I have a few questions about using Apple's MPAN tokens. Since Apple doesn't provide MPAN tokens in the sandbox environment, I'm having trouble understanding the differences between the MPAN and DPAN flows. I'm guessing they're the exact same, except when we detect the MPAN we save some information so we can use it in future transactions. If that's correct, my questions are:
What information in the Apple Pay payment data indicates that it's an MPAN vs when it falls back to DPAN
Like DPAN, the MPAN can be found in applicationPrimaryAccountNumber? Or is it found in the merchantTokenIdentifier?
What is the bare minimum data needs to be stored in order for these merchant tokens be reused for future transactions?
Can i, personally, create .pkpass for other companies using my apple developer ID?
In order to create .pkpass, I need to create passTypIdentifier and teamIdentifier using apple developer ID
Is it okay to create those two identifiers and create coupons or membership cards for other companies?
I just wonder if it is against the law or developer guide.
