For the past three days, every single submission has been stuck in the "In Progress" state indefinitely. Some submissions have been pending for over 48 hours, and none of them ever proceed to analysis. When checking the status via xcrun notarytool history, all entries show "In Progress". Attempting to retrieve logs with xcrun notarytool log always returns: Submission log is not yet available. This strongly suggests that the processing hasn't even started. This issue occurs consistently from my local machine (MacBook Air M3) and Our GitHub Actions CI workflow. Both environments are properly configured with Electron + Electron-Builder, and the app is correctly signed and uploaded each time. We have verified multiple times all credentials and code signing settings, no exceptions so far or problems in the pipeline. Hi guys, I am new to publishing apps on Apple Store. I used python, pyside6, torch, pyinstaller to build an app for Apple Store. For codesigning, I used the correct "Developer ID Application" to sign the code. When I validate the .app file (codesign -vv --strict ), I got the following my_app.app: valid on disk my_app.app: satisfies its Designated Requirement Next, I used ditto to "ditto -c -k --sequesterRsrc --keepParent my_app.app my_app.zip" to zip it. Then, I submitted this my_app.zip file for notarization with "xcrun notarytool submit ..." and got the following "accepted" message. Received new status: Accepted Current status: Accepted............... [20:08:54.530Z] Info [API] Submission in terminal status: Accepted Processing complete After that, I want to staple it with "xcrun stapler staple my_app.app", but I got the following Could not validate ticket for my_app.app The staple and validate action failed! Error 65. To further investigate it, I ran "spctl -a -vvv my_app.app" and got my_app.app: rejected source=Unnotarized Developer ID origin=Developer ID Application... I don't know why this would happen after notarization accepted. Could someone help me understand this issue? Thanks!

Hello, I'm currently trying to upload a new version of an existing application. But each time I try to validate the archive of the application, I got the following error in Xcode (v16.2) : Invalid code signing entitlements. Your application bundle’s signature contains code signing entitlements that aren’t supported on macOS. Specifically, the “37CG5MY799.com.example.app” value for the com.apple.application-identifier key in “com.example.app.pkg/Payload/app.app/Contents/MacOS/app” isn’t supported. This value should be a string that starts with your Team ID, followed by a dot (“.”), followed by the bundle ID. I suspect that there is a problem with the App ID Prefix (that is 37CG5MY799 for the app) when our team ID is E4R7RJ7LA3 but I cannot find a solution. Hey, when I try to launch my app it prompts me with a "Apple could not verify" popup. The thing is the app has been signed and stapled. xcrun stapler validate .app for my app returns "The validate action worked!" If I also run syspolicy_check distribution .app it returns: "App passed all pre-distribution checks and is ready for distribution" Any idea?

My notary service has been stuck for more than 5 hours. Is it because i am a new user or there is an notary service outage.

I believe that this is related to the post https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/790880. I essentially have the same problem that they did. I submit my Distribution PKG for notarization but the notarization fails and when I attempt to install the PKG user the UI I get a "External component packages (3) trustLevel=0 (trust evaluation failed; treating as invalid due to higher trust level for parent product archive)" However if I install using "sudo installer -verboseR -pkg ConcealDistribution.pkg -target /" everything works as expected. The difference between me and the other post is that when I expand my PKG using pkgutil --expand I do not have a Resources folder within my top level distribution. Then I am attempting to sign and notarize the outer PKG and that is where the problems pop up. Additionally I'm not sure when this stopped working as I expected but just a few months ago I was able to do this exact same process and install with the UI and have it work.

However, the domain cdn-apple-cloudkit.apple.com cannot be resolved from any network, including mobile or public Wi-Fi. Both dig and nslookup return “No answer” even when using external DNS servers like 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1. It appears that cdn-apple-cloudkit.apple.com might be required during the stapler validation process, but the DNS for this domain is not resolving. I’m unable to notarize the executable and the .app — the status has been showing “In Progress” for over an hour. Upon checking the xcrun logs, it indicates that the submission ID was not received. I also noticed there’s an Apple Developer Service outage reported since October 8, 2025. Could you please let me know when this outage is expected to be resolved? It would be very helpful.

The problem is the following: We create a keychain item called NotaryTool (There are multiple accounts that use Notary tool and we created it for all of them ) This is created in the following way: $ xcrun notarytool store-credentials This process stores your credentials securely in the Keychain. If you'd like to authenticate with an Apple ID and app-specific password instead, leave this unspecified. A few days ago, we assisted another team by submitting their app for notarization using our own Apple Developer account, because their own notarization attempts were getting stuck. However, the submission we made for them under our account has now been stuck in the “In Progress” state for about 5 days. Later, their own submission (using their account) was rejected after 2–3 days, but our submission for them (under our account) has never completed. Since then, all our subsequent notarization requests have also remained “In Progress”, which strongly suggests that the stuck submission is blocking our entire notarization queue. Hi everyone, I’m trying to notarize a macOS app for direct distribution in Xcode. The upload finished, but the notarization has been stuck on “In Progress” for hours. I’m not getting any emails or errors, and the status log in Organizer only shows the same “In Progress” message without any extra details. I tried reopening Organizer and creating a new archive, but it always ends up in the same state. Is this normal, or is there something I should check on my side? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
