Hey everyone! 👋 I’ve always been interested in AR/VR/mixed reality and was inspired by the release of the Apple Vision Pro to play around with RealityKit on the iOS. I was really impressed with how quick and simple iOS17’s Object Capture API made it to capture lifelike digital copies of objects. Objy is an iOS app with two modes: Capture and Discover. Capture mode (requires LiDAR - pro model iPhones post iPhone 12) guides the user through the process of walking and creating the capture. The app processes these into a digital copy on-device which you can upload to a profile. Discover mode presents a semi transparent box you can position in your environment (using your camera feed). Once set this anchors your object discovery feed as you swipe up and down to discover new objects. You can show your love for your discoveries with a burst of hearts, or save objects to your project like to view anywhere you want at a later time. Your profile holds your captured objects, as well as your saved objects. From your profile you can view any of these objects in your own space as well. You can share objects from your profile, sharing to other iOS devices will open them in the native iOS AR Quick View. I am working on an app, that allows people to share spatial videos, and for all users to watch videos made by others. I use CloudKIt Public Database as a backend, and so far is working great. Curious how well it is going to scale. I have built a VisionOS version, and one for iOS, so it is easier for people to submit new videos.

I wrote a macOS client app for Mastodon. I would love to have some feedback, ideally on GitHub or on TestFlight or here I suppose. [Edited by Moderator]

As an APP developer I always encounter problems when trying to find good testers for the apps and I especially miss having a way to encourage users to send feedback. With this in mind I developed an initial version of an application called "Test My App/Test An App". What's in this Beta version: Account creation for anyone who wants to test apps Profile creation for developers to publish their apps. (The functionality to publish APPs is already implemented and its free to use) I have already published some of my APPs for testing but as soon as developers register they will publish theirs. All users receive notification when a new APP is published. Testers are able to record the interaction with the apps to be tested and share them with the developer. Testers are able to send contributions to the developer (comments, bug reports, feature suggestions, APP evaluation, etc.), with images and videos. (The contributions are visible to all other testers). Users earn XP and can level up as they test the applications. Users earn Badges for their contributions. Anyone who registers during the Beta period will receive an exclusive badge
