My 2017 Macbook pro no longer will shutdown. It clears the screen to black and leaves a cursor pointer in the top left corner.....forever.It was not such a big deal until I tried to use the appstore to upgrade to 10.13.6. After the upgrade shutdown notification it just hangs with the cursor in the top left. I can still manually power down, and I can still ssh into the box and do a sudo shutdown; But then the MACOS upgrade never happens. Finally I booted into repair mode and restored the operating system from there (cmd, opt,R). The upgrade was successful, but alas I still can not shutdown the box without it going to the black screen with cursor.Any ideas?

Contacts.app hangs on 10.13.1. MacBook pro 13-inch 2017, and indicates that "Application not Responding".I have tried removing ~Library/Application Support/AddressBook and then restarting the app. It rebuilds the "AddressBook" folder, then hangs.Any Ideas?tnx
