Why is the Pencil delivering bad timestamps?
I'm posting a screen shot from my iPad to demonstrate a problem with touches delivered by the Apple Pencil. In the demo app, I stroke the pencil across the glass left to right. Each touch is drawn with a black dot, each coalesced touch is drawn with a red dot. For each touch I draw three data as whiskers perpendicular to the direction of motion. The green whisker represents the elapsed time since the last touch. The orange whisker represents the distance traveled since the last touch but magnified so that it's easier to see. The purple whisker is the velocity, that is, the orange whisker divided by the green whisker. On my 240Hz iPad Pro, the delta time should be a constant 4.166... milliseconds. Instead I get some 4 millisecond intervals, some 3 millisecond and some 5 millisecond. Look at the green whiskers. The smoking gun here is that the time intervals are EXACT integral millisecond values. (I see this in a log file that I'm not including here.) Someone someplace is rounding the

Reply to iOS 14 Beta Battery drain on iPhone 6s
This is a follow-up to my post from yesterday re the ridiculously short battery life of my iPhone 6S following the iOS 14 update. Per Apple's direction, I erased all the content from my phone and then reinstalled it from my iCloud backup. My battery is still draining way too rapidly. It went from 100% to 18% in only 3 hours, with only modest use. I can no longer use this phone as a phone, as I will need to be near an A/C source with my charging cord at all times. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE, APPLE??? You made my perfectly functioning phone completely unusable. HOW AND WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO FIX THIS??

Two important feature suggestions that will benefit artists and Apple Pencil users worldwide
As a digital artist from China who creates concept art for large gaming companies, I absolutely love using the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. I rely on them for long hours each day to complete my work. Apple Pencil's design is truly innovative, and I am eager to praise its developers. They are undoubtedly geniuses, and I have always appreciated Apple's intuitive design that feels natural and instinctual to use. However, there are two missing features that are crucial to artists and users alike. I find it surprising that these features have not yet been implemented by Apple or any third-party tools. Therefore, I am reaching out to the developers themselves for help in bringing these essential features to Apple Pencil users. The first feature is the inability to customize the location of the pencil's point of contact. I hope that a system-level setting can be added to allow for micro-adjustments of the stylus's nose position.

Battery sharing idea
Build the ability to airdrop or “Apple pay” type of technology but to share battery life. Use case: I was recently at a sporting event with my daughter and needed to leave her there and I didn’t have a charger to give her. Her phone was at 11% and mine at 76% I wish I couldn’t texted her some of my battery power or tapped my phone to hers and approve a battery life transfer. Sending this thought to others who would know better how to make that a reality.

Reply to SIRI not working with GM release.
If you've got battery life issues as well then the following steps may help:Make sure your paired iPhone(s) is on iOS 9.0 GMUnpair the watch from the iPhoneRe-Pair watch and setup as new deviceOf course, it's not ideal having to do this, but it's better than poor performance and short battery life.Max.

Reply to iOS 9 Beta battery life
This is what I'm interested in. From a technical standpoint what causes battery life to be reduced during beta releases? The UI seems a little snappier as well as app switching and just general performance on my 6. I am also seeing the battery drain issue as per normal beta performance. Just interested in why. Obviously optimisation is key but is the OS collecting data on performance for Apple techs to analyse? And how much optimisation will apps need to do upon public release? I am finding software development more fascinating all the time :)

Reply to battery life
Im finding that battery life is good until I try to use directions on Maps, which no longer works. When I try to set up directions on the phone, they dont get sent to the watch, and when I try on the watch, it just says loading and never stops. When this happens, the battery drain is extremely bad.

Reply to watchOS 7.3 battery drain issue
I have the same problem after updating my brand new AW 6 to 7.3.3. Battery life went from 24 hours to 12. I urgently need a solution, and don't tell me to turn off a bunch of things, like Always On - they were working fine WITHOUT battery drain in the day prior to the upgrade. Thanks.

Reply to Any one have charging issues on beta2? 6 plus won't charge past 49%
Only way to tell what my real battery level is at is to reboot. Last night for about 6 hours though I was so happy thinking wow my phone has been at 52% they really did a great job with battery life, went to bed and plugged it in only find it still at 52% in the morning. I rebooted and that is when it was back at 100% that is when I had the ah ha moment and realized it was a bug. I plugged it into my Mac and iTunes doesn't show the correct battery % either.
