Hi there :) Since the introduction of webRTC in iOS 11+ Safari has supported GetUserMedia, however on other browsers using WebKit like chrome we still have got support for it. Now since safari can it be set as a default browser many web developers won’t be able to have their web apps fully supported. Will iOS 14 extend this support out to developers making browsers? thanks!

Hi! Is there anything new about PWA support on Safari?

I have installed macOS Big Sur. I heard about Safari Technology Preview and wanted to install it to try out some of the new features. When I looked it up, I only saw a Catalina version. Will the Safari Technology Preview be coming to macOS Big Sur?

During the What's New for Web Developers Jon Davis said that Safari, running on iOS14 and Big Sur has improved support for Service Workers. But he didn't elaborate much. What are the improvements more in details? Any updates regarding background sync? Safari is built on top of WKWebView. Any news on whether or not there is support for Service Workers and background syncing there?

I have used hash urls for my website and made safari extension for the same. For login/logout my extension opens ourdmain.in in new tab and listens to update methods. I have implemented chrome.tabs.onUpdated.addListener() to listen to tab updates and for chrome this is working fine but for Safari its not working properly.
