100% CPU, Energy Efficiency NSPersistentCloudKitContainer / Best Practices?
Hi, I recently added iCloud sync capability to my app via NSPersistentCloudKitContainer. It does push data to the cloud, in other words seems to be working fine. However, I noticed a strong increase in battery drain and when I debug (release and debug build configs) I can see that a NSManagedObjectContext thread that is definitely not mine has 100% CPU load basically all the time. (I waited a few minutes, yes minutes, for it to finish while not using the app at all and it does not stop.) Component utilization shows that most the energy impact is CPU and "overhead" is very low (goes to 0 quickly). There is no network activity visible, so this seems to be some kind of background processing. Also, memory is very, very low (~ 35 MB). I am wondering if I am doing something wrong here or if there is a better practice. Some info about how my app works: It downloads things from the web and generates a lot of entities while doing so. It frequently saves changes (incremental changes in entities, there are lots of save() calls during a refresh). I have not had PersistantHistory enabled before changing my processes to work with iCloud (existing sqlite store). Not sure if anything else is relevant. Any help is appreciated. Battery drains unreasonably fast on M1 Macbook Air
Just wondering anyone else running macOS Monterey developer beta 2 or 3 is noticing excessive battery drain? I've filed feedback, FB9400649, regarding this. Tentatively believe this is due to Spotlight running away with the CPU: even while the lid is closed. Note that this M1 MacBook Air is not brand new, and Spotlight months ago built the initial index of the drive. Force-quitting Spotlight in Activity Monitor temporarily resets CPU usage, but after a couple of hours, it is back up to 130 to 180% of the CPU.

how to downgrade to iOS 14.8 from 15??
Hi, i have updated iOS from 14.8 to 15. After that i am facing issues like so many apps are lagging. Those were working perfectly fine on the same day prior to update. IPhone storage is taking 3+ mins to load completely. Apple store is taking couple of secs to load. Iphone is getting extremely heat while using. Charging is also taking longer time. Chat with apple support team, as per their suggestion, updated iOS again using my pc. Still getting the same issue. They are also suggesting to do factory reset as well. Why would i do factory reset and restore again. Just downgrade it to iOS 14.8 again.

Battery Health
I bought my iPhone 12 in March 2021. I use both 5g and wifi for over 2 months. After I updated to IOS 14.5, I noticed that my battery health went from 100% to 95% in just 2-3 months. After that, I stopped using 5g and just used wifi. But it is still draining fast. I only use my phone for social media and use it for gaming sometimes. I also use Apple’s 20watt charger. I also don’t let my battery life go down to 25%. Now, my battery health is at 92% in just 5 months of using it. What exactly is the problem and how can I prevent my battery health from draining too fast? Is my battery defective?

Battery Health Draining Fast.
I bought my Iphone 11 pro max almost 1.5 yrs ago and till last june battery health drained from 100 to 97. But since June, it has dropped to 88. I usually try to keep my battery life at 40 to 80 and use fast charger that came with the device. But Battery has drained like 9% in the past 3 months which is quite worrisome for me.

Anybody facing battery issues in iOS 15?
After installing iOS 15, my iPhone battery has been just straight up worse. I am able to get only a minute of screen on time with every 1% of battery consumed. Moreover my phone is plagued with other bugs and random shut down.

Bettery health issue with iOS 15 beta 3
In the last 7 months, my phone’s battery capacity was 83%, but suddenly it went down to 79% in 3 days. I updated to iOS 15 Public Beta 3 a few days ago. Is anything wrong? (iPhone XS) (Charging cycle 1003 times)
