Time Machine Backups and Catalina

I always get an error with Catalina when trying to perform a backup, the error I get is "Two of the Disks to backup have the same name. Rename one of the disks named macOS" The OS doesn't know which macOS to go to macOS or macOS-Data. I didn't see anything in the release notes but assuming there's a fix coming for Time Machine to fix the back up. Anyone have a thought or work around or have experienced this?

Wondering if you ever got the Time Machine backup working with Catalina? I'm having similar issues.

Hi,

Open the disk utility, you will find two disk with the same name; one contain data and the other is empty.

Delete the empty one and try again time machine.
