4. 2 Design: Minimum Functionality - Rejection

Hello All,

We have developed an iOS App for our Organization. This App is for the farmers, harvesters (Agriculture), Agricultural machine users in Germany.

1) Company commits to tell the users that they have these types of tools, so the existing customers of these tools can come to know about which type of tools they are using and if they need further information they can contact the company via Request form in the App "Email Sending" option we added. New users can also contact or request to the company using this option.

2) The Users deals with land area measurements, so we have added an "Converter" functionality in the App. It is also helpful to the users who are using this App.

Please help us on this scenario, how can we proceed further,

-Is there any additional functionalities are recommended by Apple.

-Any option to contact Apple developer team to speak about functionalities to make my app approved.

The App got rejected stating the below reason:

Guideline 4.2.2 - Design - Minimum Functionality

We noticed that your app’s main functionality is to market your service, with limited or no user-facing interactive features or functionality. Apps that are primarily marketing materials or advertisements are not appropriate for the App Store.

Next Steps:

We encourage you to review your app concept and work towards creating an app that offers customers an engaging and lasting experience that also meets the App Store’s high expectations for quality and functionality. For example, an app for a restaurant should offer more functionality beyond a standard mobile website that include its phone number, address, and hours. You should instead include functionality like table reservations, mobile ordering, etc. that do not currently exist on the mobile website.

Apple Developer includes a variety of design and development resources. Download iOS templates from Apple UI Design Resources, learn more about crafting intuitive, well-designed apps with the Design Video collection, and review the iOS Human Interface Guidelines for best practices to follow when designing apps for the App Store.

Please help us on this scenario, how can we proceed further,

-Is there any additional functionalities are recommended by Apple.

You know the customers more than I do. So you should know what are their pain points that may be relevant for your app.

What should they want or like to get beyond what machine sellers wish to tell them ? Maybe some type of social network of users of those machine, where they can get real life feedback ? Or good practices related to environment protection ? Or some intelligent tool to let them check if this type of material fit their exploitation ? Or marketplace to lend some material to others (a machine eBay for leasing material)…

You could try to figure out what are the pain points during all the life cycle of machine from buying to resell…

-Any option to contact Apple developer team to speak about functionalities to make my app approved.

This you will never get from review team or Apple in general.

Hi,

Greetings of the day!

I would like to thank you for your valuable response to my post. We started planning about it also, we will plan accordingly about this and proceed it. We will post if any further clarifications required. Thank you.
