Apps and app updates submitted to the App Store must be built with Xcode 5.1.1 or later, and iOS 7 SDK.

I received this message when I tried to submit an app update on iTunes Connect

"Apps and app updates submitted to the App Store must be built with Xcode 5.1.1 or later, and iOS 7 SDK."

Xcode 6.4 running on El Capitan Beta 2

Deployment Target 7.0

Anyone else facing this issue?

I successfully submitted a binary 2 days ago. I rejected that & tried submitting a new binary today & encountered this error. I get the same error when I try to submit the old binary which went thru 2 days ago.

Boost

Not sure why it worked before, but it sounds like the beta tools restriction for submittals kicked in...

I tried to submit app build in XCode 7.0 two weeks ago, and saw similar error. Now i'm submitted app built in XCode 6.4, and submitted by https://github.com/nomad/shenzhen (because XCode 6.4 crashes during submission on 10.11 beta 5) it's approved for beta testing, but I can't send it to apple review with error mentioned earlier: "Apps and app updates submitted to the App Store must be built with Xcode 5.1.1 or later, and iOS 7 SDK."

Seems like itunes connect bug for me.

OP I have the same issue.

I'm on El Capitan, but I'm using (and have always used) Xcode 6.4. In fact I don't even *have* Xcode 7 beta on my system.

I hope this is an Apple issue and that it's resolved soon. Anyone have any ideas?

My only idea, which I have stated before in many similar threads but has largely been ignored, is to not ever use beta tools (Xcode or OS) for production work. In the past they have flat out rejected submissions made on beta OS versions. Perhaps they are reinstating that policy.

Have the same issue and i'm not running anything beta here...

Submitted a version on the 29th and it worked and submitted another one on the 31st and i got that message...

Really have no clue what could be the reason...

Submitting Apps

Apps that are created using beta versions of Xcode or that are built for beta versions of operating systems will not be accepted on the App Store and Mac App Store. Apps that you submit should be developed using the latest version of Xcode from the Mac App Store and should be built for publicly available versions of iOS, OS X, and watchOS — except when GM seeds are available. When a GM Seed of Xcode becomes available, use it to develop your app for submission. When GM seeds of iOS, OS X, or watchOS become available, build your app for these versions.

Thanks for not reading.

The product was not built USING beta versions ox Xcode nor was it built FOR beta operaing systems.

The only thing remotely beta about this is the operating system that runs Xcode... which really shouldn't matter.

I installed a blank Yosemite in a new partition, and blank Xcode 6.4, built the exact same code for the exact same platform, and I was able to push it through.

You're on El Capitan which IS Beta. You CANNOT submit builds to the app store using BETA
anything.

I am having the same problem. Using Xcode 6.3.1 and OS X El Capitan beta. Worked a few days ago but now it isnt working.

I can no longer submit apps with Xcode 6.4 (6E35b), which is a GM, Appstore version, Xcode7 is not installed on my system. On submit for review i get "Apps and app updates submitted to the App Store must be built with Xcode 5.1.1 or later, and iOS 7 SDK."

Regardless of what apple says, this has never been a problem. It doesn't even make sense, as the build system of Xcode, and the command line tools for building should be contained. If this is not a regression, developers who want to prepare for future releases we now need

3 iphones (current release, 8.4 train, 9.0 trains)

2 osx devices (current release, el capitan train)

2 apple watch devices (current release, watch os2)

😐

This is 100% not true. You have *always* been able to submit apps built from NON-beta xcode on beta versions of mac os. The version of OSX has nothing to do with how your binary is compiled.

In terms of beta OSX, it has always been possible to submit using the GM version of xcode

The version of Mac OSX has *never* prevented submitting to the app store when using XcodeGM, until, from what i can tell, a few days ago.

"Never" is a pretty strong word. It has been the case as recently as last year, when apps could not be submitted using beta versions of Yosemite even with release versions of Xcode 5. Here's a post from an Apple engineer last year. 12. Re: Using OS X Yosemite beta to develop and submit apps via Xcode 5

So,there is no solution?my mac os cannot back to 10.10,what can I do?

Apps and app updates submitted to the App Store must be built with Xcode 5.1.1 or later, and iOS 7 SDK.
