Just checking. Apple said that people would start being notified of being chosen to get a Developer Kit on the 14th. So what's the word, anyone get notified yet they've been selected?
Anyone Notified of Developer Kit Selection?
It's not the 14th yet. When Apple mentions a date, that date is Cupertino, California
time not global.
I know, just thought would get the thread all set up for when tomorrow gets here.
LOL
Understand. Waiting isn't much fun. I'm hoping to be selected but don't really expect
to be.
fingers crossed, you never know!
Fingers crossed since Wednesday
A couple of developers on Twitter are reporting that they're getting the $1 charge on their credit card, but no other confirmation so far.
Me too... But I'm afraid it is the iCloud storage bill :/
Me too, I got a bill for 99 eurocents. I assume it's for iCloud storage since the devkit page stated we would be billed 1 USD in local currency which would be 88 eurocents.
I got a charge for $1.08. My iCloud Storage charges are always $3.99. It's possible my wife bought something on her iTunes account... Guess we'll just have to wait and see!
Edit: Yup, it was one of my wife's purchases!
You can check out the Apple Store orders list to see if you were selected:
Is this confirmed as a definitive way of checking? Also, correct me if I am wrong, but the site says they will start notifying devs today, so there is a chance that they are notifying in waves and just because we haven't found out yet doesnt mean we are out of the running.
**fingers crossed** I would love to get my hands on some test hardware early!
It could be done in waves, with some not knowing until tomorrow, but nothing confirmed. I think will likely only know for sure if one shows up in mail, lol.
Certainly they will email/notify the selected developers once the lottery is complete.
I like this... and wouldn't surprise me all that much if I got a UPS notification of a package and then there it was. But again I would be surprised if I was selected.
I've just got a mail I've been selected for the dev kit (Belgium) :-)
