Anyone Notified of Developer Kit Selection?

Hi, i just orderd a kitt after selected by Appel

Same delivery estimate for us. Also very excited to test out our prototype on it. I am especially interested in how the remote feels. I mean, in the simulator, using the keyboard is 100 times easier than using the virtual remote 🙂

ooops, date just changed. 21st to 23rd now.

Mine still just says processing.

How long did it take to go from processing to show a delivery date

Just got my notice -- exciting! I can't believe they are giving it to us for just a dollar, that is amazing.

I got an email saying "Place your order for the Apple TV Developer Kit now". I clicked on the link, and placed my order, now it says that it should be delivered within Sep 17 - Sep 21.

i got the email but it dissppeared on my iPhone! 😠 i've emailed to see what to do!

Just got my notification. Can't believe I actually got picked. I feel like I need to give a speech or something.

Mine is arriving Sept 16-18 so this weekend I know what I'll be doing.

For those of you who are selected hope you read the fine print that states: "You agree not to publicily write about, review, or display the Apple TV Developer Kit. Transferring, reselling, or redistributing the Apple TV Deverloper Kit while it is running Apple pre-release software is prohibited"

So in case I die between now and when it goes into release, I can't give it to any of you lovely folks. Sorry.

never mind, got it. seems to be slowly "trickeling" out. (according to Twitter at least).

looking forward to getting my hands on this and see what can be done (My other projects being highly reliant on mapKit and webViews I feel a bit of a challenge popping up)

This is truly unprecidented. I'm still astounded that Apple is essentially giving those selected

this hardware. Have to keep looking at my order status to believe it. 🙂

I'm guessing Enterprise Developer Program members are out of luck (since we can't publish to the App Store), though it specifically said we were eligabile when I applied.

Congratulations to everyone who got selected. I'm a bit dissapointed although not surprised at all that I've not been selected, I've all the luck of a, well unlucky thing.

I'm really looking forward to trying the game I'm working on just now on the new Apple TV. The past 2 years I've been working on it I've thought it would be great on an ATV, guess I'll just have to wait until release day. I can do that, I'm a patient person........ Sure I am lol.

lol. I am patient too... I will just tell myself that over and over until I get the hardware after release and can test out my app.

I am hoping they are still sending out the invites.

I also haven't been selected, so don't feel alone! Though I'm really frustrated by the number of people who were selected and seem to have zero interest in building an Apple TV application. I'm actively building one.

I have received my email! Was exicted then went to confirm my order and I could not enter my payment / address details. Would only accept a USA address but I live in the UK!?!

I think they are (according to Twitter at least). Fingers still crossed.

Just comments from people. Not going to point to them, but I've seen these comments publicly:

"What should I do with this thing?"

"What would you like to see?"

"Guess I should think about building something."

You need to have ordered it for that work. It does not tell you if you have been selected.

I was just in my car and tried to place my order from my iPhone but the area to confirm the order wasn't showing up in the browser on iOS. Just got back in front of my Mac and was able to confirm. So whoever said above that they couldn't confirm after logging in, try to do it on the desktop if you haven't already.

Clearly Apple is not just selecting developers who make the most $, because unfortunately, I do not have a lot of money from sales but I have a good amount of apps available on both the iOS and Mac App Stores.. Glad I was selected 🙂
