My 27inch 5k iMac boots and after the Apple logo I get a black screen with the mouse cursor. If I move the mouse to where the login should be and find the dialog box to enter my password the machine will login and work fine. Just the lock screen will not show. All black! Any ideas? Running GM

I think I wiped them out. I am not seeing any issues should I worry about it?
No I don't think so - their location implies that they're non-essential.
Still happens with Beta 2 of 10.11.1
You could try reinstalling OS X over itself with Recovery Mode - this often fixes problems that are intrinsic to the OS. It won't affect your user enviroment though - it only replaces the system files.
