Untrusted Developer

Hi

I have deployed my enterprise app via my website last year. But due to release of iOS 9 my customer facing an strange issue.

My apps are downloading on phone with a message "Untrusted Developer" and they have to manually trust the certificate.

Due this they are reporting me issue again and again. I have a valid enterprise account then why I am getting this message.

I want a workaround for this issue so that they do not need to trust certificate manually. Can anyone suggest me how can I do that ?

This is a change Apple made in iOS 9. Best you can do is file a bug report. Search these forums and you will see others complaining about the same thing.

This is expected behaviour.

If the customer wants the users to not have to express trust, then they should use MDM to install the App , and then trust in the certificate is implied (as the user has already consented to trust MDM)

Apple's way of saying, "we don't trust enterprise developers." Managing all devices is complicated. I run a volunteer organization. We have hundreds of new volunteers every week. We require they use the iOS App, or a similar android counterpart.

Obviously we don't want our app in the app store, and obviously we don't want to manually manage thousands of peoples devices just to allow them to use our app the two or three times they volunteer.

Wanna guess how much fun it is trying to help thousands of technologically incompetent volunteers to drill down into their settings to locate functionallity most app developers don't even know about?

My issue is worse than that I get the Untrusted Developer message with words around go to Settings to allow the app. I go to Settings -> Device Management -> Developer App. I click on my developer account and there's no button to Trust the app. My app appears on the screen with status Verified but no trust button anywhere.

I'm trying to debug my App which I was previously able to do. My developer certificate expired and I procured a new one. I've installed the new certificate on my dev machine. I'm not developing an Enterprise App I just wanted to debug my own app on my phone.
