There was an error importing this build.

For some reason the build that I uploaded on itunesconnect for testflight shows error There was an error importing this build. There is no additional information about the error nor searching for the issue helped. Can anyone point me why this kind of error occurs.

Thanks,

Same problem here. Loaded two load in the last 24 hours and they both got the same error.

I have the same issue. "There was an error importing this build. View all builds in Activity."

I did the following:

1. Changed the Project build settings to BitCode NO as well as the Target

2. Clean build and submit

and it worked for me

Not works for me...😢

Same problem for my builds so far today.

Same issue. 5 builds uploaded, tried turning bit code on/off, cleaning, removing warnings or commenting code out. Still just gives me the same importing error.

I am paying 99 € every year and you (Apple) are not able to provide working developer tools. Also it would be great if you tell us developers that you are having problems with your servers or software. When you are hosting a forum than please read it and get in touch with your customers problems. 😠

I have the same issue. "There was an error importing this build. View all builds in Activity."

Today,I changed the Project build settings to BitCode NO, it worked for me

Same for me. Uploaded two builds yesterday and one today, and all report "There was an error importing this build."

Tried cleaning and deleting derived data but it makes no difference.

I'm hoping this is a temporary outage that Apple is working to resolve.

It shoud work now. My newly uploaded build went through in 40 minutes.

Good for me too. Only took a couple minutes to process.

I had the same issue, it is strange but when I was archiving, rather than building for generic device, I attached my iPhone 6 to xcode and built for that device, this time it worked and processing just took couple of minutes

I just had one of my "There was an error importing this build" turn from error to "completed" all of sudden. Apple must have fixed the issue. YAY!! Itunes Connect is very probelmatic as usual. Sad :-(

Problem also cleared for me - got the TestFlight "ping" alert on the failing build at around 4:30am UK time! :-)

All seems good, build is out for testing with no reported problems.

Thanks Apple.

For me this solutiuon is to disable Bitcode in the Build settings for the iOS Target.

Background

The issue started after updating to Xcode 7.3 and OS X 10.11.4.

On Monday 21st I succesfully submitted a build with Xcode 7.2.1 and OS X 10.11.3.

Tuesday 22nd submitting failed.

I awaited the Apple Support suggested 24 hours, and uploaded a new build today. No luck.

After these 2 erroneous builds, I disabled Bitcode and submitted a new build. After 30 minutes it completed processing succesfully.

To somehow determine whether this solved it, I submitted a new build with Bitcode disabled. This failed with "There was an error importing this build".

I have sent a detailed report to Apple Support.

There was an error importing this build.
