What happend in El Capitan to break so much Audio Gear?

I just want to know why this page exists:

https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-8801

Why is it my 2000$ rane mixer is no longer compatible with the latest Apple OS? It's not firewire, it's USB, so firewire support isn't the issue.

Why is apple abandoning the creative community? DJs, muscicains and artists putting their apple laptops on display while they work is surely a huge draw for Apple, and yet the latest release goes and screws over most musicians and DJs who use their product and I can't find anything online as to why.

What exactly happend that so much audio related gear is so hard to support?

This whole issue with El Capitan has not only caused a bug with Rane but mutliple other audio gear manufactures. Therefore it is somthing apple has changed in there software. Regardless whos ever fault it is i just need it to be resolved as its happened since October 2015 and Apple dont relies how many people it affects or care.

That is up to Rane and the others who don't support El Capitan.

Every new version of an OS breaks software or hardware that worked in previous versions.

I have a Tascam automated mixer/io device that cannot be used with any version of OSX

after Snow Leopard. Tascam dropped support for the device so, the machine I use it on,

still runs Snow Leopard. Any audio professional would do the same.

Again, you're blaming Apple for your device maker's lack of support. Contact the maker of

your devices. If they cannot or will not support El Capitan, roll your system back to a version

of the OS that they do support.

Long time ago, but Apple has upgraded the AudioCore SDK.

For all developers, who are participate, integrate or develop AU plugins, drivers or something like that, are responsible to download the latest AudioCore SDK for the latest macOS and to develop for the new architecture.

There are no secrets by Apple... - RTFM

cheers
