Terms of use for an app

Hello,

I'm developing an iOS app which collects user information and stores it on the iPhone's hard drive. Every byte of data is stored on the iPhone, none is upload to a database.

I'm totally a beginner for the legal aspect of the app. I want to know which documents I need to include in my app. A privacy disclosure ? Terms of use ?

Is there any document about laws provided by Apple ?

I precise that I'm not a company but a particular.

Thanks for your help

The document you will need to provide is commonly known as a privacy policy. You'll need to make it clear that your app collects personal information but does not transmit it. I can't offer any specific advice on whether or not such an app is likely to be rejected, so you might want to directly contact the App Review team using this link: https://developer.apple.com/contact/app-store/

You should refer to Section 17 Privacy in the App Review Guidelines:

That would be your paid developer agreement. See your inbox and/or the Member Center/My Account and iTunes Connect/Agreements, Tax & Banking.

As for strict legal questions in the future, however, it is better to ask an attorney rather than strangers on a forum 😉 - Apple can be contacted via the 'Contact Us' tree in iTunes Connect.

Good luck in the store.
