Bluetooth pairing problems and frequent disconnects

I am running 9.3 and after install I noticed some devices were missing from my Bluetooth configuration and when I tried to pair no luck. I also noticed that some devices would connect then after a while disconect. During pairing the Bluetooth settings app showed the item I was trying to pair as connected, then disconnected then connected again. I never got the typical access number on the pairing sequence. I made a fatal error in not backing up prior to upgrade so I can't go back without loosing info. My error so I will have to live with it until the next update that I hope will overwrite the bad code. may I pose a few questions.

1. Anyone else having Bluetooth issues?

2. If I delete the beta profile, then reinstall the profile will I be able to reinstall 9.3 and maybe fix the problem?

I am also seeing issues. I am testing on an iPhone 6s and iPad Pro. In addition to occasional disconnects, I noticed that Bluetooth devices no longer appear in the AirPlay menu. Without a visabile way to controller which device is used, it does not look currently possible to switch between connected bluetooth devices or to switch back to the devices built in speak without disconnecting the currently playing Bluetooth device. I haev to assume this a bug or the UI for managing Bluetooth is changing. Hopefully this is not the UI we can expect at GM. I am filing a bug report on this item.

Already posted bug report, and I assume we aren't the only ones having this problem. I have a Garmin VivoActive which won't pair at all now but did with 9.2. It also would disconnect at night even when my watch was on my wrist and the iPhone 6s was next to the bed requiring me to pair again in the morning. So part can be Garmin but most is think is the IOS Beta.

From the release notes:

Bluetooth

Known Issues

• Connected Bluetooth audio devices may not show up in the audio route picker

• Audio may not route to some connected Bluetooth devices.

Is there any idea on when there will be a fix?

Same here with my Garmin Vivossmart HR. Connects and disconnects consistantly to where the app can never get a lock.

Garmin support was useless, so hoping Apple comes out with a fix.

When I've upgraded my 6s and Air2 to 9.3 the iPad still connects to my Garmin Fenix 3 no problem, the 6s connected briefly then disconnected and can't find it, Garmin connect sees the watch on the 6s but will not pair.

So at least there is a pattern now and the chances are it is a problem with both 9.3 and Garmin. Each might have to do some adjustment in the code. In 9.2 I had disconnects and had to pair in the morning. I hope it gets fixed soon as I use the watch every day in my fitness routine.

I'm having a similar issue - my bluetooth devices dont show up on the call screen, so pressing the sleep/wake button ends the call. Very annoying, and I have no way to switch between my ear piece and my car since the only option is speaker phone.

Siri/dictation is also working intermittantly through my bluetooth devices.

I submitted a Feedback report, but went so far as to restore iphone to iOS 9.2 (confirmed BT functions were fine) and then re-upgraded to iOS 9.3 Beta and restored my backup and experienced the same problem.

Unfortuntely because I did an in-place upgrade without an iTunes backup, i don't have an iOS 9.2 backup. Wont be doing that again... 😢

All I know not only this being a pain, it is causing me to loose time. Time is important to me, but to be honest I never had a upgrade problem with the beta.

Garmin released a new version of Garmin Connect Mobil, but it didn't help. After doing a lot of experminting with different hardware and 9.3 I think that this might be only a problem in the 6 or 6s series and 9.3, as it paired properly with 9.3 on an iPad version 3 older hardware. So my conclusion is a patch to IOS 9.3 to takke the hardware into consideration. Still have to wait, for my VivoActive to work.

I hope a fix comes soon as Bluetooth is just about useless with certain items that worked in 9.2. Bluetooth is one of the main things that iPhone users need and is as important as WiFi. So if you are having bluetooth problems please report it to Apple and maybwe it will be moved up on the list of fixes for 9.3.2 beta.

Garmin's official stance on this issue is that until 9.3 is officially released they will not make an update to Garmin Connect Mobil, so if this is your problem and Apple doesn't have a fix for Bluetooth you have a long wait to get your expensive VivoActive working.

I was having issues with BT as well. I have a Garmin forerunner 920xt and was experiencing the same thing. Since I am training for a marathon, I had to revert back to 9.2 as this was a deal breaker for me. Such a shame as the rest of the iOS features seemed to work really well. With the new update today, I am thinking of trying it again, but don't want to have to revert back again. Anyone seen better results with the new iOS build?

Nevermind...just read the release notes. Looks like they fixed audio issues, but not BT smart connections.

I guess I was hoping a little to much. I am on the public beta and I checked if this update was available for my 6s but it says I have the latest version, so I don't know what is going on. I just started another thread to find out the latest version number.
