OS X 10.11 Beta Software Compatibility

So far everything is working but CISCO Anytime Connect VPN. Anyone found the same?

Direct Tv GenieGo crashes everytime after a few minutes

well ..it is an apple product... so yea ?

That's interesting. I was under the impression that the CS apps relied on the Java Runtime - which is not allowed on 10.11

VMWare Fusion works. First launch is very slow, but I lost USB access. Sometimes it will mount my Android device in Windows for a few secs, but mostly USB does not work.

Hello,

I've read a number of posts concerning AnyConnect, all of them mentioning non-current versions of the software.

Since newer versions of the AnyConnect client often come with security fixes, I'd highly recommend to use 3.1.08009 or newer (in case you use 3.1 releases) or 4.0.02052 / 4.1.02011 or newer (for 4.x users). You'll get other fixes (among them OS X-specific ones) that way as well, very obviously, so go nag your networking people if their headend (ASA etc.) only provides you with old versions.

(BTW: There was quite a noteable licensing change between 3.1 and 4.x, so there may be good reasons if your company is staying with 3.1 for the time being. "Upgrading" to 4.0 is more a legal matter than a technical one right now, and 3.1 is still seeing support and bug fixes as far as I understand.)

I haven't found a bug report concerning OS X 10.11 and AnyConnect in Cisco's bug database, so my impression is either current AnyConnect versions are doing fine, or nobody has reported anything to Cisco yet ( - or I'm too dumb to search their database, which is an option one cannot rule out). In any case, please do go ahead and make your networking guys open a TAC case with Cisco if you're forced to jump through burning hoops in order to make the client work in El Capitan. The more customers open cases, the quicker a fix will come along.

Cheers,

Chris

It's an Apple product that has been end-of-lifed, so one wouldn't necessarily expect it to work.

Java Runtime is only required by Adobe Illustrator, which wasn't mentioned.

Adobe InDesign CC (2015) does not open (I have a ticket in with Adobe for a work around) Final Cut Pro X does not open

InDesign CC 2015 is working fine here.

Adobe Creative Cloud 2015 apps are not working well for me in 10.11 El Cap Beta 2. Illustrator CC 2015 crashes on startup, and won't run at all. Photoshop has numerous UI bugs that are not present in 10.10 or 10.11 Beta 1. If you use Creative Cloud 2015, it may not run well under Beta 2, even though it ran great on Beta 1. 2013 15" rMBP

Acronis Access refuses to launch. Many errors like: 6/29/15 11:23:41.000 AM kernel[0]: Sandbox: Acronis Access(4350) System Policy: deny(1) file-write-unlink /System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/gettext.pyc

Will try with rootless... but not a long term solution.

[Edit] no change in Acronis Access after changing Security Configuration in Recovery... [/Edit]

As it seems they are various different answers i.e. some say applications work but for others it doesn't it may be a good idea to specify if you did a fresh install or an upgrade to see if this has a bearing on why some are working and others not.

Cheers

Simon

Junos Pulse not working for me.

Lync working fine for me.

Quickbooks 2015 crashes on startup for me
