iOS 9 beta iCloud backup can't be deleted

I had iOS 9 beta for a little while and my iCloud did a backup, then I downgraded to iOS 8.3 due to bugs, and I wanted to delete my backup for extra storage, but it won't let me do it on any platform (iPhone, Mac). What should I do because I need that storage

hmm.. My fantom backup is still taking up 3.7Gb on my account.. 😟

On my mac there's no back up listed to delete, so i cant remove it.

I've had this problem since iOS 9 public beta 1. I updated to iOS 9.1 publuc beta 1 yesterday and it was finally resolved for me.

Upgrading to 9.1 hasnt helped me still have that ios backup there, and I cant downgrade to 8.1.4 again because the backup was made only for 9.1, so guess Im stuck

Upgraded to 9.1 via phone update and apps, photos, messages etc all still present and backups now working.

Same here

I am on 9.1 beta 1, and the problem still exists, so hopefully with the release of 9.1 stable this will be fixed, along with other issues. Anyone else on a stable version, can comment?

For what it's worth, iCloud backups started working again for me once I installed the 9.0 GM. Of course I had to turn off the iCloud backup and back up to iTunes before installing the GM. YMMV.

ya but if I back up to itunes, it'd be a backup of 9.1 not 9.0 so I wouldnt have a backup to restore, so Id lose all my data and have to go back. Is that correct? I have 9.1 beta not 9.0

I suppose that's true. In my case, I went from 9.0 DB to GM.

Haven't been able to backup to iCloud since July 15th, have a backup that lists at 0 bytes but is taking up around 6 GB of storage up there, and my backups to my PC generally fail unless I do a fresh one (have to delete or rename the backup folder each time, no incremental). A sync will generally also strip my album art and not copy over any new music if I've added some. Currently on 9.1PB, would love any help but have been at a loss for weeks.

Hey!

So to everyone having this problem, I think the only people who can fix this is Apple on their end. I submitted a feedback request on my phone the other day, and both my iPad and my iPhone were fixed the next day and have been fine since then. I've seen someone else on here who said it got fixed after they submitted something as well. I tihnk Apple just deletes the corrupt backups from their server, then everything is crystal clear.

Hope this helps,

Tyler

Hey!

Solution...

1. Go to Setting -> ICloud -> Backup turn on the Icloud Backup

2. then Got to Setting -> ICloud -> Storage ->Manage Storage and select Your Phone

3. Go Botton on the Page and tap "Delete Backup"

4. You r Done!!!

enjoy Free Space

Doesn't work. Backup is listed at 0 bytes and says "Cannot Delete Backup" - This backup cannot be deleted at this time. Been saying that for weeks. I've submitted feedback on this issue too. It has been two months, don't know what else to do.

How do you go about submitting this Feedback?
