System Preferences > Sound > Output used to list available AirPlay devices for redirection. They are not visible under El Capitan. However, iTunes lists them with no issue, so this appears to be isolated to the Sound control panel?
AirPlay devices not present on Sound output selection
I get the same too - rebooting brought it back within System Preference for a short while.
I also get the same problem
I as well
SAME HERE. I ALSO HAVE PROBLEMS USING AIR DROP BETWEEN EL CAPITAN AND IOS 9
Same here, airplay device not visible into sound preferences as output device.
I have the same problem. But in addition, air play devices cannot be selected via the option-click of the speaker icon.
The airplay devices are present but cannot be selected. Based on 10.10 behaviour this looks like bug.

Same problem here, works in itunes, but nothing even shows up in sound preferences. Rebooting, wifi on/off, etc. didnt help.
This is fixed in B4
i recently installed B4 and i'm still experiencing the same problem
I'm having the same problem with only iTunes finding Airplay speakers, Anyone find a fix to this yet? Any luck with b4?
I'm running beta 5 and it's still not working for me ..
Hm, seems update to beta 2 did fix this, was on beta 1 earlier.
Actually i'm also running Beta 5 and it wasn't working, UNTIL i mirrored the connection to the apple tv (Airplay Display)...while it's connected, go back to System Preferences > Sound > Output and you should then see your apple tv appear. Once you see it go ahead and disconnect the Airplay Display and it should then give you the ability to use it as Audio Output only. (i hope it works for you guys as it has worked for me)
Wasn't working for me through beta 6. Just installed beta 7 and I can now stream to AirPlay
Beta 7 seems to have rectified the issue all together
