iOS 10GM - Battery Life

Yea same thing's happening to me... I've also noticed that the average temperature of my 6s has risen substantially. Using iPhone 6s w/ iOS 10.0.1

I've been having the same problem with nearly all betas and I thought that with the GM it would be fixed but It didn't. I've tried calibrating the battery by letting it drain completely, waiting 15mnts for the battery's memory to erase and then plug it in a let it charge completely and when is done charging, turned it off for another 15mnts and the turned it on and noticed a little improvement but really not that much, maybe I should wait for the official release hopping that problem is fixed. Maybe you should try calibrating the battery.

I had similar issues, but looked at the console of my iPhone using Sierra (nice feature) and noticed a few apps that were having issues uploading stuff. I opened those apps and noticed immediate battery improvements. These were system services/apps.

I have the same problem the battery is draining faster than before.

Using iPhone 6s Plus.

I am looking at the logs now. How can you tell which apps are having issues?

What kind of keywords should I look for?

I just looked at what apps were generating more logs than others. In my case it was eventkit so even though I don't use the built-in Calendar app, I had to open the built-in Calendar app to force it to handle the issue. Then I had an issue with something that kept trying to invoke Bluetooth even though I had BT off. So I turned on BT and that resolved that problem.

When I checked the console log in Sierra, I see that lockdownd and homed are having issues

"MEMORY LEAK -- PLEASE FILE A RADAR! this process is leaking memory because notifications are delivered to a inactive runloop. Please file a radar on this process!"

I am the same exact issue with the GM, 8 have experienced 20-40% more drain than the previous build, this is irritating !! This version must not be released to the public!!!! Apple

I don't think 10.0.1 is the GM .. you are still on the beta cycle and 10.0.1 is a post GM release. Betas (as I'm sure you know) have all sorts of things going on which drain the battery. The GM will be just 10

I´m explaining the same issues.

I have located "my main draining app"... it is the Mail app.

My iPhone 6 battery is working normal but my iPad Mini 4 battery is horrible...

The Mail App drains the battery 55% in less than 12 hours.

Normally the battery in my iPad lifes about 5-7 days (with iOS 9)

I have tested many things, has resetted the settings, fresh install, without backupm with backup, and so on...

So, im now at the end of my knowledge...

This issue ocurs for me since the beta3 and holds on including the GM release.

I have also informed Apple through the Feedback App for 3 times and also now with a BugReport.

iOS10 is really cool but with such a battery life on different device types (what I can read) the latest build is inacceptable!

Every year the same problem... BATTERY DRAIN.

I waited installing IOS 10 until GM.

it is now installed on iphone SE, ipad 4, ipad pro 12, iphone 6s pro.

it seems to me that the drain is pretty consistent on all devices.

on my ipad pro 12, I can see some apps that even though they should have been suspended doing nothing, ( a streaming app) that normally stops in background, has used 44% of the battery eventhough forground only took 8%. That is not normal behavior.

Same issue here on iPad Air 2. The battery drops about 30% in a couple of hours even without being used that much.

I've got the same issue. All worked pretty well during the earlier betas. But 10.0.1 is horible. It's killing battery life and slowing down the overall phone. iPhone 6s

I have the same issue (iPhone 6s+)

Since 10.0.1 the APP Store uses 50% of my battery. (3,4 h Background)

look at the download page it says 10.0.1 GM Seed. So this is what the public will be getting. Hope it works better on my iPhone 7 on Friday lol
