Multiple reviews from same customer!

I have a customer who left a bad review back in September. Yesterday he left ANOTHER bad review for the same (current) version of the app, so now there are two bad reviews from the same customer for the Current Version. The username is the same on both reviews and you can tell it's the same person because the language on both reviews is very similar. Has anyone seen that before?

Yes, I've seen this happen. It's been happening for many years now, on and off. You'll most likely notice it more if you have users constantly updating bad/false reviews for the same version. Because as we know, it's hard to get users who like an app to even post a review to begin with, much less update a review. I'm not sure what causes it. I think it's some sort of server error or glitch in their system. I've filed bug reports for it before, but I'm not sure if that helped, and I've never gotten any response to my reports. Eventually, it stops happening after some weeks/months.

I'd expect, in usual cases, that they pulled the lever twice as a result of not seeing their review right away the first time...


I suppose if you wanted to jump thru all the hoops you might get Apple to remove one, but who knows if that would be worth the effort in the long run.

I'd report the review to Apple. A person should only be allowed to write one trolling message per version.

I did, and they were very quick to respond and remove one of the reviews (less than 24 hours).
