Unable to pair Watch with iOS9?

Hello,

Is anyone else having issues pairing an Apple Watch with an iPhone running iOS9 Beta 2?

I upgraded my iPhone 6 to iOS 9 and now i'm unable to pair my Watch (Sport). I've tried restoring a backup of the Watch (while pairing) and setting it up as new, but it doesn't get past the wrist selection step (left or right wrist).

Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks,

Yes, I'm having the same problem.

Yep, same issue. Not able to use the Watch now.

  • Unpair Watch
  • Run through the setup twice, the second time it works.

Still doesn't work unfortunately, constantly fails.

Same issue here. I've tried the usual fixes, but still no luck.

Same thing here. Unpaired, restarted both watch and iPhone many times. No success. Hopefully someone will find a fix or Apple will post one!

Same here. Now I have the watch stuck on "select language and start pairing" because I did a reset, and nothing works. Moreover, can't delete any profile from the watch since it's not pairid with any phone.

When I upgraded to b2, the initial pairing failed after selecting my wrist; after that, it's not even starting when I scan the blue ball with the camera. It just hangs there until I'm given a fail popup.

Is your watch on watchOS 2 Beta? You will only be able to pair the two if they are both on the prereleases. And if they are, have you updated both the the updates released earlier today? If not, they will not function together.

Hope this solved your problem.

Unforetunately if it's not paired you can't even update the software...

My watch is on 2.0 beta 1, waiting on the blue spinning ball for pairing (so can't upgrade it), and my iPhone in iOS9 beta 2 failing to pair with the watch.

Does it mean I'm stuck forever in a non pairing loop?

I doubt it. I suspect it has to do with the fact that Apple pulled the WatchOS2 B2 for some reason.

I was able to pair my watch (purchased today) with the new iOS beta today. It did however fail the first time but worked on the second.

I've tried it like 15 times including twice manually....

I thought this too 🙂

I'm glad it's not just me, thanks for posting your experience guys.

Hopefully Apple will patch this bug so we can pair our Watch's 🙂
