I gave it a shot to setup iPhone simulator in Visual Studio 2019 with my Macbook Air 2011 but it failed at the end because it required Xcode 12 on my Mac to connect o Xamarin an mine is way behind.
My Macbook Air doesn't support OS later then Yosemite 10.10.5 so I am stuck there.
Here is what I am thinking what I could, what's the best option?
Somehow Manage to installed lateset Xcode on my old Mac.
Has anyone tried to force install latest OS and latest Xcode if it works? If it's worth a shot? I won't want to ruin the Macbook Air though because at least it's in good shape right now (I have upgraded hdd and battery).
Use Visual Studio 2019 preview feature.
Visual Studio 2019 does support developing for Mac without Mac but it does require apple developer subscription and that's is not great since I am only learning and will see how it goes.
Macincloud.
But how does the Macincloud compare? If I got with the basic pay as you go option, can I stop the VM (to be not paid for) and start only occasionally to see output? I will mostly be developing for Android in that case but once in a while switch to iOS to see.
What is the best way and if there is any better?
