Ios15 beta version touch screen stopped working

Hello, I have downloaded the ios15 beta version, it was working well till yesterday, i had issues with my display and the touch. I have decided to uninstall the beta ios15 and install the 14.7 but it didn't helped. I restarted my phone, but nothing happened. I can't type letters like "a" "q" ( im using the little keyboard you can set) and it makes me mad, because the phone is not even damaged... If anyone had problem like this you could help me or just write something

  • Are there letters that you can type ? And only "a", "q" causing problem ? If so, What happens if you rotate device ? Or if you switch to another language ?

  • Hi, I mean they are working when i change the language of the keyboard. But i have tried to press the left side a bit harder it was glitchy but it worked for few minutes. I though ok I fix it but i did not... I was so angry like when i touch the left side a bit harded it starts randomly glitching the screen I dont know if it can be something with the Ios15 beta but I downgraded now to Ios 14 and it's still glitchy... I dont know what to do

  • Lukas, are you still have the same problem. I'm also running into the issue and looking to see if you found a solution. It honestly sounds like ios15 essentially bricked our iphones.

Hello

ive got exactly the same issue ive upgraded to iOS 15 beta 4 on my xs pro and since I’ve been experiencing a lot of touch screen issues and especially with 3D Touch.

most of 3D Touch were sensitivity related and I mean that even with a real soft touch it acted as I’ve pushed hard on the screen.

after disabling and upgrading to beta 5 public, the right side of the screen does not work anymore. I can’t desactivate Live Photo or type a p. On note i can ser IT goed all Along the border of the screen.

i does try to reset setting but did not help

anyone?

Any progress on this? I've received 2 updates (beta 5 & 6) and made a reset of the settings only without success

anyone on this?

@lukas1337?

Same problem over here. it's not even possibele to use the iphone normal. the keyboard is glitching arround when i want to use it and then i want tro scroll down it wont work sometimes. no solution found so far.

Hi I’ve got the same unresponsive glitchy screen issues as well. Downloaded the official iOS 15 release. 24 hours later had issues. The left side of the screen does not work and struggling to use phone at all. Restarted the phone multiple times but no luck. My phone is currently unusable - this is the third time I tried to write this message. Earlier today I purchased something on a site through the weird glitching screen issue!

Same issue with the iPhone XS Max. Installed iOS 15 and a couple days later we can't even unlock it because touches are not recognized at all. I tried restore from iTunes in DFU mode, still doesn't work.

  • I have been face glitches in touch after updating stable version ios15(Final). I have iphone 12 pro max

I'm experiencing this on iOS 15.0 (19A346) on my iPhone XS, too. Same symptoms as original poster: "q" and "1" keys not tappable in Notes or Mail but "123" and "abc" toggle keys are. I have occasionally been able to get the "1" key to work but it only happens once. Can't touch along whole left side of screen for the most part (once in a while it works). Moving the text cursor also seems broken sometimes (loses the touch on the keyboard as soon as it starts, and then it starts typing letters). Keyboard works fine when rotated to landscape (but not when rotated back). Force-reset doesn't work and neither does resetting the keyboard dictionary. Interestingly, swiping right from the left side of the screen in Notes does show the new note change history.

  • Update: This is still happening and I'm on iOS 15.1. One caveat to this is that it appears to only be happening on foregrounded apps. The home screen does not have this behavior, as I'm able to interact from the left side of the screen. It's possible that Apple has done something to the swipe navigation gesture recognizer on the left side which lets you swipe to go back in a push navigation hierarchy, but I think I've also seen this in apps that don't appear to be using a navigation controller. This is definitely an iOS 15 issue no matter what anyone else tries to tell you.

  • I have this issue even in system settings, do you have any solution to fix it?

  • Yeah, I have this issue there, too. Do you see it happening on your home screen? I take back what I wrote above about it just being the left side of the screen not working; also seeing a chunk of the middle vertical portion of the screen not working, in addition to the touchscreen being very unresponsive, erratic, and jumpy in general (pinch-to-zoom, app carousel, swiping to get to the home screen, etc.). In addition, rotating the screen into landscape makes the glitch go (because of the rotation) across the whole bottom of the screen (space bar of keyboard and anything else at that level doesn't work) but for some reason the middle screen glitch seems to go away then. Sometimes I can get the "a" key to work but nothing to the left of that on an English keyboard ("q", shift button, etc.) ever works for me!

I’m facing the same issues also in my iPhone X after updating to IOS 15… Tried to restart, restore, rollback version, but no success. It’s like a line from the top to bottom on the left side of the touchscreen This “untouchable” area can be viewed by drawing in the screen with the help of notepad pencil (the green area is where touch works)

  • That error just happens to me, only on the other side of the screen, on the edge of the left side, were you able to fix the problem?

I’m also having the same issue of the unresponsive left side of the screen, on iPhone XS after iOS 15 update. Resetting all settings seemed to fix it, though - but only temporarily. The issue came back, but randomly resolved again and now has come back once again.

From all these replies with the same problem, it definitely seems like it’s something to do with the iOS 15 update. Here’s hoping there’s a bug fixes update that sorts this out soon

I have the exact same issue! please help!!

Having Responsiveness issue and touch releted issue on iPhone 12. IOS 15.0.1

I had the EXACT same issue with my iPhone XS. I realized that I couldn't swipe to go back and I couldn't type the letters in the left side of my screen, a and q. I thought it was something to do with the screen and I was thinking of changing my phone or repair it, cause to be honest I dropped my phone right before the problem started. I tried restarting, soft resetting, updating to iOS 15.0.2 and none of that worked. I lost my faith I went to sleep, and once I woke up the phone was working normally again. I don't know if I should prepare for this happening again or it was a one-time thing

  • Update: in less than 1 hour it stopped working again…

  • With the release of public beta 4 still no change on my iphone 8. Top section of iPhone still not responding to touch.

  • My phone is exactly the same, but it was fine for a good 5ish days until last night :/ iPhone XS on iOS 15.0.2
