In my web app, I am using the Web Speech Synthesis API.
It works great on chrome for PC and Chrome for Android.
However it fails to emit sound on the latest iPAD build 10.1.1 , 14B150.
I have tried restore to factory, etc.
In fact, both the Speech API and the Web Audio API both fail to emit sounds in the latest build.
This happens both in my app but also in generic demo tests all over the internet.
