My app uses a proprietary encryption method. I have read somewhere that encryption export exemption is not needed if the app is not published outside of Canada or USA. My intention is to publish in Canada and USA first, and then deal with the regulations to publish in other countries.
Because my app uses proprietery encryption, I tried setting "App Uses Non-Exempt Encryption" in the Info.plist file to YES. However, when I did so I could not publish to TestFlight: "Invalid Export Compliance Code. The export compliance key value [] in the app's Info.plist doesn’t match the key value of the app’s export compliance documentation. To find the correct value, go to My Apps on App Store Connect. (ID: 338339f0-83c2-4142-b4c7-48568b2b7eae)"
Therefore, should I be setting "App Uses Non-Exempt Encryption" to NO if I publish only in USA and Canada?
