Does macOS (not iOS) support the BLE5 2mbps PHY? I'm trying to do BLE5 streaming to an iMac and cannot see to enable the 2mbps phy during negotiation. Also not finding anything in the forums for macOS and BLE5.

Still no takers? Most BLE stacks have an HCI command that requests the 2Mbps PHY. When I use this command on my BLE peripheral talking to an iOS or Windows central, the central acknowledges and switches to the 2Mbps PHY. MacOS appears to refuse this request. Which seems hard to reconcile. Is there a macOS privilege or something I'm missing? There appears to be almost no documentation on this that applies to macOS.
After filing a code-level support ticket, the answer is apparently that intel-based macs do not support the 2Mbps BLE5 PHY, but ARM-based macs apparently do.
