Apple states in their guidelines that "on average, 50% of apps are reviewed in 24 hours and over 90% are reviewed in 48 hours" however there seems to be some developers (such as us) who have their app stuck in the "In Review" black hole as they also have posted in the forums here their experiences.
We have personally experienced on numerous occasions where reviews take 10+ days. We do not for this app have a Chinese Approval Number as we do not have the app available in China, although it is available in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. We do set all information for the app reviewer in the reviewer notes. The critical bug fix on this update is stalled, resulting in what we feel is a less than exceptional user experience. Currently we're sitting in the "In Review" limbo for the past 14 days.
February 5th
- We submitted a critical bug fix for app ID 1098157959.
February 7th
- Reviewer requested information regarding a subscription item, we responded with the information via Resolution Centre.
February 21st
- No update from the Reviewer side, sent in an email to Apple requesting they take a look at the status.
Has anyone else experienced things like this? What did you do differently which sped up review times and helped the Apple Review team? Developer Rejection doesn't seem to be a good thing to do, as it just adds more in the queue for the Apple team.
