Hi, We're trying to generate the key inside secure enclave from the deamon, but it fails with the below error. The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error -26276 - failed to generate asymmetric keypair)
Could you please help me to resolve the issue?
Third-party daemons are not able to access the Secure Enclave.
If you’d like to see this change, I encourage you to file an enhancement request describing your requirements. Please post your bug number, just for the record.
FYI, and along similar lines, third-party daemons cannot use the data protection keychain. See TN3137 On Mac keychain APIs and implementations for more on that.
