After the ios 18 beta 2 update, when listening to music in carplay, the sound quality is very bad and I can't turn down the volume of the music. it acts like a voice assistant instead of music. when turning the volume down and up, it's like adjusting the volume of the voice assistant when it should turn up the volume of the music. So instead of music, it acts like the voice assistant is activated.

I've got the solution: you have to turn off sound recognition (voice shortcuts) in Accessiblity menu.
Quickest fix I have for this is going to sound and haptics, pesonalized special audio, hitting setup and backing out immediately before you do anything. Stereo playback returns. Though doing voice memos while driving is now impossible without it switching to mono.
Car Play on BMW will work fine as long as the screen is locked once you open your phone, you will receive the distorted sound quality. I have tried everything and this is the only way I can get the apple music to play without being distorted
