Managed To Brick iPhone

Did all that was asked to install, now iphone bricked. Any one else hav an issue?

my ipad is stuck on the apple logo screen, even though it did seem to update successfully....then I rebooted it.

I really want to try out the new watchOS beta, which requires the iOS 11 beta. I almost pulled the trigger, realized less than a month I can just do the public beta and wait a bit. And then I read tales like this. IF I had another device (I have a drawer FULL of them at work) - I would have tried it since this is my extra Apple Watch. Grr.

Best of luck in you getting back up and running!

Same issue here. Apple logo endless reboot cycle.

I installed using OTA.

iPhone 7 Plus

My iPad is now bricked. I installed OTA. So happy I didn't do this on my iPhone. If anyone finds a solution, let me know.

Are any of you at WWDC? Willing to bet a run to a lab will get you sorted out.

I got an endless reboot on my iPhone 6 Plus after installing OTA. So then I went into recovery mode and restored from the iOS 11 image I downloaded. That booted, but then rebooted during the intro setup. Everytime I reboot, I try to get through the intro but it will reboot before it completes. Sometimes key taps will take 1 minute to register. I finally had to do a recovery mode restore back to iOS 10.3.2. Seems perfectly fine now, just can't get iOS 11 onto it.

I resolved my iPad.

Here's what I did:

1) When stuck on the Apple Logo, hold down the Power and Home buttons until the iPad shut off

2) Connect the iDevice to a Mac

3) Press the power button; after it turns on, a black screen was displayed for me where I agreed to continue updating.

4) Finish the installation process

I hope that helps.

So far I’ve updated an iPhone 7+, iPad mini 4, iPad Pro 9.7” and iPad Pro 12” with no problems. Watch OS is really slow to download, verify and install - it’s been about 3 hours so far.

Installed using OTA and rebotted to the passcode screen. The lag made entering the passcode untenable. I eventually reset. Big mistake.

Since then, I've been unable to power the phone down to get into DFU moded and I can't use iTunes to reset because the passcode is locking me out. I managed (once) to get the passcode to input into the phone and got to the 'Trust this iPhone' screen, which wouldnt accept any input and a few moments later crashed back to a spinning black screen.

Any ideas? 😟

I have the same issue. my iphone is bricked. All I did was put the phone for charging. An hour later my phone is bricked. How do I get it back?

Thank God, Got it back. I held the vol buttons + power button. and tapped the home button... Phone started to reboot.

Fixed. Finally got the phone to restore. Prayer works! 😉

I've my iPhone 6 bricked during the installation. Everything turn off and the screen isn't even turning on with the Apple logo. Put it in DFU and tried to restore, but nothing. At the end of the process it always gives me error... Any solution?

Following the install of iOS 11 this morning, all was good until I went to remove Outlook from the iPad.

Did this in the normal way - hold down the icon, and tap the X.

Since then, the iPad has gone into an endless loop of asking for the Touch ID or Passcode. This is then followed by the "working" spinning star on a black screen, and then back to the Touch ID or Passcode screen.

To try to resolve, I have done the following:

  1. Standard power off, power on... stays in the same loop.
  2. Reset power off (power and home button held until Apple logo)... stays in the same loop.
  3. Connected the iPad to my Mac Pro... as the iPad is locked, you can get the Mac to trust it... stays in the same loop.

I'm now left with a locked iPad that is happy to show notifications, but won't unlock.

Any ideas, or anyone else with this issue?

How did you get it to work, as my iPad is stuck in the same loop?
