Watch OS 2 b2 battery life

Hey all,

I just updated my watch to OS 2 b2 the other day. I too had troubles getting the pairing fixed - had to reset my iPhone a couple of times but finally got it.

But now my watch battery life is horrendous. I charged it overnight. At 6 AM this morning it was 100%. Now 4 hours later I am down to 30% battery life. Under OS 1, I was getting 30% after more than an entire day of use.

Are other people seeing this?

Jon

I have same pb here. To fix this temporally since maybe next update from apple, is to cut bluetooth on iphone.

HAve you tried turning Hey Siri functionality off? I did and bettery life is not back to normal but I can pretty much get through the day.

I'm glad I'm not the only one having messaging and calling issues

Has anyone seen a difference in battery performnce since last night? I put on airplane mode for whole day and decided to turn it off. So far, the battery life is back to normal and no freezing. But I disabled 3rd party apps notifications. Will turn them on later to test.

Just wondering if everyone is still having battery issues since the latest release (Build: 13S5293f from 8th July).

No. Much much better. Nearly normal.

Hi,

FYI ...

I have reset my watch to factory settings ... installed no apps .... turned off wrist raise.

My battery gets down to 10% after about 6 hours.

(This has only started happening since I installed iOS9 Beta 3, but that may be a coincidence.)

I am getting frequent re-boots (ie White apple logo is displayed for a couple of minutes).

I have also had the watch completely freeze after tapping to display a watch face, a forced reboot is the only was of getting the watch to respond.

(The watch face is displayed but the second hand does not move)

Today I have switched on Airplane mode .... after 3.5 hours the battery is at 95% .... 🙂

Just wanted to confirm that running Beta 3 resolved all my Reboot & Battery issues.

(It sems that I was running Beta 2)
