error: exportArchive No profiles for 'com.nawctsd.riotpad' were found

This is the error that I get when I build for the iOS App Store or run on my connected iPad (with App Store release).

This is my first iOS app that i have developed.

When I build for development I get no errors and runs fine on my iPad (also simulator ipads).

I have several Mac apps on the app store.

The embedded.mobileprovision file is in my app bundle.

com.nawctsd.riotpad is the Bundle Identifier in the app and in the App ID Configuration.

Problem has been resolved. Remove and recreated the following: Development and Distribution Profiles and Development and Distribution Certificates. Problem solved!

You tagged your thread with “Swift Playground”. Does that mean you’re using the Swift Playground app? Or using Xcode with a playground project?

No, I am not using Playgrounds. My app was developed with Xojo. I have 2 other apps on the Mac App Store already. This is my first iOS iPad App. Xojo has the ability to build and deploy directly to Apple Connect. I have also tried using Transporter to upload my iOS app (also Mac apps).

I am attaching my latests error messages from Xojo and Transporter.

Thanks for you help. Frederick Harrison

I am including a picture of the contents of the RiotPad ipa zip file (minus all graphic files) that was created for upload that is giving these errors.

Xojo has the ability to build and deploy directly to Apple Connect.

Cool. But if you need help with that you’ll have to escalate your issue via that tool’s support channel. I barely have enough time to keep with Xcode’s shenanigans (-:

I am attaching my latests error messages … Transporter.

Using Transporter is a good option here, that is:

  1. Have your third-party tool generate an App Store Connect ready archive (.ipa for iOS, .pkg for Mac).
  2. Upload that using Transporter.
  3. Debug from there.

This is good because you have a copy of the archive and an error and can dig into the archive to find the cause of the error. The first step being to unpack the archive, as explained in Unpacking Apple Archives.

In this case, however, it seems that you’re not even getting to the upload stage. The error from Transporter indicates that either:

  • There’s no App Store Connect app record for the com.nawctsd.riotpad bundle ID
  • Or you’re not logged is as a member of the team that has registered the App ID with that bundle ID

I recommend that you log into App Store Connect with a web browser and confirm the presence of an app record for com.nawctsd.riotpad. See App Store Connect Help > Create an app record.
