Applications Icon on Dock Does Nothing After Updating to macOS 27

Ever since I updated my Mac mini M4 to macOS 27 (Golden Gate), the Applications icon in my Dock has stopped working completely. Clicking it does nothing.

Is this a known bug, or is there something wrong with my system? Has anyone else experienced the same issue after updating?

If there's a fix or workaround, I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks!

Have you removed the Application shortcut in the dock and re-enabled? It could be corrupt since installation of Golden Gate.

Since Tahoe, that's just a shortcut for Spotlight search. Do a manual Spotlight search and agree to the terms. Then the shortcut will work.
