New app stuck in "Waiting for Review" since August 30, no messages, no rejection

Hello,

I would like to ask the App Review team to look into a first submission that has not moved for nine days.

Apple ID: 6792008109 Platform: iOS Submission: version 1.0, submitted August 30, 2026 Current status: Waiting for Review (has never transitioned to In Review)

There is nothing pending on my side:

No rejection and no message in the Resolution Center
No metadata issue flagged
No request for additional information
Agreements, Tax and Banking complete
App Privacy completed and working demo credentials provided

I have also submitted an expedited review request through the Contact Us form.

I understand review times vary with submission volume, and I am not asking to skip the queue. I am asking for visibility on whether this submission is queued normally or sitting in an error state, since nine days with no transition is well outside the expected range.

Could the App Review team please investigate?

Same here, and I think our case adds something useful to yours: we are not a new app.

NotBetting (Apple ID 6737483983) has been on the App Store since December 2024. We submitted on September 4 at 13:34 UTC and we are still in Waiting for Review four days later. Like you, it has never transitioned to In Review, there is no rejection, nothing in Resolution Center, no metadata flag, and agreements and banking are complete.

I mention the age of the account on purpose. Your submission is a first release, ours is an update to an app that has been through review many times. If both are sitting in the same state, whatever is happening is not specific to new apps.

For context on what normal looks like for us: our last approved version went from submission to the store in about 26 hours, and our rejections in June and July all came back within 12 to 31 hours. So four days without even entering review is well outside our own history, not just outside the published averages.

I am not asking to jump the queue either. What is genuinely hard to work with is the lack of a signal: Waiting for Review looks identical whether a submission is queued normally or stuck, so there is no way to tell whether to keep waiting or to withdraw and resubmit. Withdrawing has a real cost since it puts you at the back of the queue, and doing it on a hunch is a bad trade.

If anyone from App Review is reading: some way to tell "queued, this is normal" apart from "something went wrong with this submission" would save developers a lot of guesswork. Even an acknowledgement that the submission was picked up would be enough.
