Guidalia for Guides: Waiting for Review since Oct 29 after answering 2.1 information request – expedite requested

Hello App Review team,

Could someone please check the status of our submission? It has been in "Waiting for Review" since October 29 with no movement.

App: Guidalia for Guides
Apple ID: 6762551844
Version: iOS 1.20261029.2
Submission ID: c4d547f4-8891-41c1-a032-0b7e423af67c
Current status: Waiting for Review
Support case: 103004158595

Timeline:

  • Oct 28: App Review asked for information about our business model.
  • Oct 29, 2:00 AM: we answered all six questions in App Store Connect and submitted a new build.
  • Nov 2: we requested an expedited review.
  • Since then: several messages on the support case above, with automated replies only.

Context: Guidalia for Guides is a free business tool for licensed tour guides. It lets them manage their profile, tour catalog, availability and booking requests. It has no in-app purchases or paid digital content. Travelers pay for in-person tours in our separate consumer app, Guidalia, which is already on the App Store (Guideline 3.1.3(e)).

The timing matters to us: on November 23 we are presenting the platform at a launch event in Florence, and guides need this app to onboard in time for that.

If anything else is needed from our side, we'll provide it right away.

Thank you,
Antonio Gazzeri
Guidalia SRL

Your 3.1.3(e) reasoning sounds right: payments for in-person tours belong outside IAP, and a free guide-side tool with no digital purchases shouldn't need IAP at all. A few things that help this kind of submission move:

  1. Make sure the answers are attached to the current submission. Because a new build went in with the answers, check on the App Review page that the six answers appear in the thread for this submission (c4d547f4…), not only on the earlier one. If they don't, paste them again there.
  2. Put a short version in App Review Information → Notes: "Free business tool for licensed tour guides. No IAP, no paid digital content. Travelers pay for in-person tours in our separate consumer app (Guidalia, Apple ID …), per 3.1.3(e)." Plus a demo guide account that already has a tour and a booking request, so the reviewer can see the whole flow without setting anything up.
  3. Expedite: you've already requested one; repeat requests don't help much. When you follow up, mention the Nov 23 date and what happens on it.
  4. Don't add another build unless something's actually wrong; it resets the wait.
