How to highlight the specific POI in the map on scroll
Hello, I have used CPPointOfInterestTemplate for displaying data and as user scrolls using the up/down arrow, I do not see any change in the map. Is there a way to highlight the POIs as the user scrolls through the list? I need to use the map controls and zoom to check the markers on the map. Is it possible to set the zoom level of the map in CarPlay? Pls suggest on the above queries

Idea for iOS 19
Hey! So tell me guys, in iOS 19, i think it would be a great idea to make a nostalgic mode or “old” mode of iOS! Like iOS 1, slide to unlock was really cool for me. It would change the icons, like with the YouTube app for example. If you had the app, it could change to the very old icon, and the app interface maybe can possibly change. This was all i had in mind, but if you wanna comment on here and give more ideas, feel free!

Behavioral change in iOS 18 related to SCEP profile downloads from the browser.
Hi Team, We have noticed a behavioral change in iOS 18 related to SCEP profile downloads from the browser. In current flow, we are using Cisco ISE as SCEP server. While testing in iOS 18, we have observed that before communicating to SCEP server iOS is asking to download the SCEP server certificate. This differs from iOS 17.4, where the communication happens seamlessly without any new prompts. Could you please confirm if this certificate download popup behavior is expected in iOS 18? Additionally, we would appreciate any guidance on whether this change in likely to persist in future updates, as it impacts our user flow. Please let us know where we can attach video recordings of previous and current processes. Thanks

How can this be resolved - load_eligibility_plist: Failed to open //private/var/db/os_eligibility/eligibility.plist: Operation not permitted(1)
I'm programming my constraints in my video game, which is working good so far until I ran into my most important interactive storyboard. I have three buttons that move back and forth on the Y position each time they are hit. The buttons Y positions only change to view.safeAreaLayoutGuide.centerYAnchor, constant: 100 or view.safeAreaLayoutGuide.centerYAnchor, constant: 200 or view.safeAreaLayoutGuide.centerYAnchor, constant: 300 The strange part is the button that is in the Y 100 stays visible and I can hit the button that is in the Y 100. The buttons in the Y 200 and Y 300 positions are visible until after one or two hits, then the button that is in Y 300 position disappears, then after another hit or two the button that is in the Y 200 position disappears but the button that is in the Y 100 is still visible. I cleared all my constraints to narrow it down to clear view of the constraints that is causing the problem. I do not think this Log Noise. Below is the error log: load_eligibility_plist: Failed to open //private/var/db/os_eligibility/eligibility.plist: Operation not permitted(1) 1 Unable to simultaneously satisfy constraints. SwiftData and #DEBUG with the canvas...
Hi all, Very new to this. Just getting into swift data, and am frustrated with the canvas not working with modelContainers in SwiftData. My understanding is that they work if inMemory = true, but not in the default case where data is persistent after an app is quit. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to conditionally create the modelContainer type based on a flag... If Bool:Canvas then inMemory = True, Else False... Then using this flag for all data models so my list views populate on the canvas, without having to run the simulator each time... I would assume you could also pre-populate the inMemory option if it is empty also... Or is there a simple and obvious solution that I am oblivious to. If it is possible, is it worth the time, hassle, and any possible issues?

About tvOS Material (design resource)
I noticed a discrepancy between the Material specifications for tvOS on the Developer page and the naming in the Design Resources (Sketch files). Which one should we consider authoritative? 18.2 Beta 22C151 email
Just updated to newest beta of 18.2. The update corrects several major email issues but now I am only able to pull sone of my emails when I open mail. after opening my mail on the 18.2 iPhone 15 pro max I am ablevto pull only 1 message from Xfinity. When I check on my pc using outlook 2016 I am able to pull 18 additional messages. Going back to my iPhone after a half hour the additional mail messages still do not show up even after doing a hard reset of the phone. apologies, but these mail issues need to be resolved. It is bothersome that ios 18 was even released to the public at all with these type of issues.

Using macOS-Sequoia-Production-Templates-Sketch
Hi, I was trying to use macOS-Sequoia-Production-Templates in Sketch format and when I try to export png icon file of the document template, it always includes grey nontransparent background which I am unable to delete. In contrast, exporting png app icon file from another template has transparent background and exports well. Is it something wrong with the document icon production template? How can I export document png icon file with transparent background?? Thanks

Suggestions on macOS and iPad app structure
Building an app to edit the various parameters of digital musical instruments. A typical user would have perhaps max 6 instruments, out of the hundreds of possibilities. Would like to structure the app with a global window, menu, etc which would be a free download. The user could download editor inserts for their particular set of instruments and ignore all of the others. The downloaded editors would show as options in a menu. It seem like more than a widget but less than a library. Building a monolithic app containing all possible editors doesn't seem like an option, but separate full-app editors for each piece of gear doesn't sound right either. Any suggestions out there? Thanks very much Brian

A phone keyboard layout for easy typing!
Last November 13 I came up with a phone keyboard layout (strategy) that can make key size bigger hence less mistyping. The typical phone keyboard looks like this: My proposed keyboard looks like this: Essentially, it's a split keyboard with the left-hand part stacked above/below the right-hand part. Key size/width/height and the vertical distance between the left-hand part and right-hand part may be adjustable to suit different phone widths and user hand sizes. You guys can show the proposed keyboard's image on your phone and fit this keyboard to your phone width so you can actually simulate typing on it to see how it feels. On my phone, the letter keys in it are a little too big for my thumbs to reach the farthest keys, but as I said, key size should be adjustable to suit different phone widths and user hand sizes.

What is the best way to design a UITabBarController (or Sidebar) combined with a UISplitViewController on iPadOS 18 and later, while avoiding memory management issues?
I'm developing an iPadOS 18+ application that uses a UITabBarController, styled as a sidebar, to serve as the primary navigation interface. This setup includes 20 different tabs, each representing a distinct section of the app. For the user experience, each tab needs to present a master-detail interface, implemented using a UISplitViewController. The goal is to allow users to navigate between tabs via the sidebar, and within each tab, access related content through the split view's list-detail pattern. The Problem: Currently, my implementation involves instantiating a separate UISplitViewController for each tab, resulting in 20 unique split view instances embedded inside the UITabBarController. While this works functionally, it leads to significant memory usage, especially after the user opens each tab at least once. The accumulation of all these instantiated view controllers in memory eventually causes performance degradation or even memory warnings/crashes on lower-end iPads. The Question: What is the best approach to implement this type of architecture without running into memory management issues? Specifically: Is there a way to reuse or lazily load the UISplitViewController instances only when needed? Can we unload or release split view controllers that haven't been used for a while to reduce memory pressure? Would a custom container controller be more appropriate than using UITabBarController in this case? Are there iPadOS 18+ best practices or newer APIs that support this kind of complex multi-tab, multi-split-view structure efficiently? Any advice on how to optimize memory usage while preserving the sidebar navigation and split view layout would be highly appreciated.

The usage license of Apple fonts
Hello, I am an app developer from China. We are developing a mobile game that will be released on iOS and Android platforms (as well as some PC and Mac platforms). The game is a commercial app. My question is: we would like to use the "PingFang" Chinese font in our game software. Do we need to obtain a license, and how should we go about obtaining it? (For example, through which channels should we apply for the license, and what are the associated fees?)
