Hi everyone,
I’m testing our SwiftUI app on both Xcode simulator and a real iPhone. On the simulator, everything looks clean and aligned. But when I run it on an actual iPhone (same build, iOS 18), the layout looks broken—fonts overlap, spacing is off, and elements are misaligned.
Both screenshots are from the exact same screen and time. First is simulator, second is iPhone.
Any idea why this difference happens? Is there something I should check in terms of rendering or layout settings?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
in the Human Interface Guidelines, Apple writes:
Avoid using a segmented control in a toolbar. Toolbar items act on the current screen — they don’t let people switch contexts like segmented controls do.
Along with this image:

I'm confused by this example. The screenshot seems to be showing a segmented control in a toolbar.
Is this saying that the Phone app's All/Missed toggle is different from a segmented control? Under iOS 26 it seems to take a different style compared to a regular segmented control. If so, which component is used to create this filter?
Could you please clarify the guidelines? Thank you.
Bonjour à tous, je voudrais savoir comment avance mon dossier sur les applications que j’ai créé,comment puis-je faire? Et sinon quelqu’un connaît-il la Durée exacte quand APPLE envoie le code de vérification pour mes applicationà!???
I like this font. but in license only allowed for use in Mockup UI.
Feel free to use in commercial?

I think in the next updates of IOS 26 that Apple should add a setting to enable/disable Liquid Glass because we all know that everybody doesnt like the new update.
Hello everyone,
I’ve reached out to Apple’s review team multiple times, but unfortunately, I haven’t received any clear or specific guidance on why my app was rejected. My app has been rejected several times with the reason “Spam” under guideline 4.3, and I still don't understand exactly which part of the app is problematic.
Even after providing the necessary information about the data, I resubmitted the app, and after a few days, it quickly moved into "In Review" status, but then was rejected within seconds with the same “Spam” message.
I have sent over 13 messages asking for specific feedback, and all I get are vague responses saying “It’s spam, refer to 4.3, fix your app, and resubmit.” However, when I review the guidelines, I don’t see any specific reasons for rejection that apply to my app.
I’m particularly confused because my app is a VPN, and when I check the guidelines, I see that apps in categories like dating and others are saturated, but VPN apps are not. My app uses completely dedicated servers, and the IP addresses are not found in any other apps.
Still, my app keeps getting rejected. If anyone has encountered a similar issue or has any insight into what might be causing this, I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide detailed guidance on what specifically needs to be changed to get the app approved.
Thank you!
This is a follow-up to my previous question: How to attribute/credit Apple Fonts added to app?
In that previous post, I misremembered what I did and said I found fonts via macOS' FontBooks, when instead I came acrossUIFont.familyNames. Since these are included via UIKit, the legal implications should be different.
I looked at various license agreements that govern iOS app development but haven't found anything mentioning fonts. Since these are included as part of UIKit, its reasonable to assume that developers are allowed to include these fonts--but in what ways?
Am I allowed to let users create, say, documents with these fonts?
Am I only allowed to display these fonts?
There are 84 fonts, and judging by their FontBook entries, there is a wide range of licenses and restrictions. It seems unnecessarily harsh to have every iOS developer verify each one and figure out which they can legally keep if they want to offer their users access to all (for, say, a text-editing app). There must be some overarching rule that supersedes/encapsulates them, but this rule isn't clear to me after hours of research. I'm not a lawyer, and I don't think Apple expects every app developer to consult their lawyers on whether they can use system fonts.
I'm about to send an email to Apple's legal team (I will post their response here if allowed), but in the meantime I want to hear what other devs think about this.
In Xcode, entering UIFont.familyNames returns the following:
["Academy Engraved LET", "Al Nile", "American Typewriter", "Apple Color Emoji", "Apple SD Gothic Neo", "Apple Symbols", "Arial", "Arial Hebrew", "Arial Rounded MT Bold", "Avenir", "Avenir Next", "Avenir Next Condensed", "Baskerville", "Bodoni 72", "Bodoni 72 Oldstyle", "Bodoni 72 Smallcaps", "Bodoni Ornaments", "Bradley Hand", "Chalkboard SE", "Chalkduster", "Charter", "Cochin", "Copperplate", "Courier New", "Damascus", "Devanagari Sangam MN", "Didot", "DIN Alternate", "DIN Condensed", "Euphemia UCAS", "Farah", "Futura", "Galvji", "Geeza Pro", "Georgia", "Gill Sans", "Grantha Sangam MN", "Helvetica", "Helvetica Neue", "Hiragino Maru Gothic ProN", "Hiragino Mincho ProN", "Hiragino Sans", "Hoefler Text", "Impact", "Kailasa", "Kefa", "Khmer Sangam MN", "Kohinoor Bangla", "Kohinoor Devanagari", "Kohinoor Gujarati", "Kohinoor Telugu", "Lao Sangam MN", "Malayalam Sangam MN", "Marker Felt", "Menlo", "Mishafi", "Mukta Mahee", "Myanmar Sangam MN", "Noteworthy", "Noto Nastaliq Urdu", "Noto Sans Kannada", "Noto Sans Myanmar", "Noto Sans Oriya", "Optima", "Palatino", "Papyrus", "Party LET", "PingFang HK", "PingFang SC", "PingFang TC", "Rockwell", "Savoye LET", "Sinhala Sangam MN", "Snell Roundhand", "STIX Two Math", "STIX Two Text", "Symbol", "Tamil Sangam MN", "Thonburi", "Times New Roman", "Trebuchet MS", "Verdana", "Zapf Dingbats", "Zapfino"]
Dear Apple Innovation Team,
I have a game-changing iPhone concept and want Apple to explore it first.
📱 iPhone 18 – The First True Portless iPhone
No ports – MagSafe 2.0 with high-speed data transfer.
Under-display Face ID & Camera – No security compromise.
Seamless OLED Display – No interruptions, just pure screen.
📂 iPhone 20 – The Perfect Foldable
Crease-free foldable design – Apple perfects what others failed to.
Optimized iOS for foldables – Smooth UI & app integration.
Apple leads the foldable market.
🚀 Why This Matters: Apple can set a new standard & dominate both innovations.
Looking forward to your response.
Best,
Saksham Sethi
Why my app icon doesn't have effect liquid glass on ios26. My team dev still not upgrade to xcode26, so I have to export icon for them. And I don't see the effect like stroke of the detail.
I am using Xcode 15.1, I used to be able to set the amount of columns for the stickers which is between 2 and 3, right now it is always showing 3 and it makes everything look small. Is there a way to set it to 2 columns? my stickers width and hight is 618x618px.
Thanks

Is it possible to modify or mark elements in the room plan model generated by the framework?
Hi everyone,
I’m having trouble getting the new glassEffect() modifier to render correctly in SwiftUI.
No matter what I try, it just appears as a solid white background (instead of translucent glass). This happens both in Beta 1 and Beta 2.
My setup: • Mac mini (M4 chip) • macOS 26 Beta 2 (Tahoe) • Xcode 26 Beta 2 • Samsung Odyssey G9 57” monitor (super ultrawide) • Using Preview in SwiftUI, I use IOS 26 Beta 2 (not the Simulator)
Even when I use Apple’s default demo code like:
Text("Hello World") .padding() .glassEffect()
In my application, I am creating a simple NSMenu with NSMenuItems. The title of the NSMenuItems are adapted to the system language. So, when the system language is an RTL language (right to left), I want my NSMenuItem to be aligned at the right.
I can't see anyone talking about this, or any option that could make me achieve that easily.
NSMenuItem* item1;
NSMenuItem* item2;
item1 = [[NSMenuItem alloc] init];
item2 = [[NSMenuItem alloc] init];
item1.title = "foo";
item2.title = "bar";
item1.action = @selector(fooAction);
item2.action = @selector(barAction);
NSMenu *menu = [[NSMenu alloc] init];
[menu addItem:item1];
[menu addItem:item2];
Hi,
Just want to check is there a requirement for Apple that for App Digital Wallet provisioning that Apple Pay button is not more than 2 taps away from Home Screen?
Hi, I'm getting started with designing and coding a watchOS app. I wanted to use Sketch to plan the UI before I dive into coding, but it seems like the official Sketch templates on the Design Resources page only have templates for the Series 8 and SE 2 on watchOS 10. I want to use the Series 10's screen size for my layouts since it's the model I have, but I can't find a template for it. Will the official templates be updated for the new models? If not, does anyone know of a third-party template I can use? Thanks in advance!
Hi everyone,
since updating to Xcode 26 Beta 3, I’m seeing some really strange behavior. I just changed the color of a Color asset in my SwiftUI view – literally just switched from one named color to another – and suddenly:
• Previews stopped working completely, with vague or no error messages.
• Even when I changed the color back to what it was before, the previews still refused to build.
• In addition, Xcode no longer restores the open tabs/windows when reopening the project. It just shows a blank editor every time I open it.
This all happened without touching any project settings or code structure – just a simple color swap.
Has anyone else run into this with Xcode 26 Beta 3?
Would love to know if it’s a known bug or if there’s a workaround (besides nuking Derived Data, which I’ve already tried).
Thanks!
