App switching is probably one of the most common tasks we do when using our computers. There are many ways to open an app, but many of them have their own drawbacks. Opening an app using the Dock can become harder if you have many apps in it. Command-Tab is very useful when you want to switch to the most recent or second most recent app, but it can become troublesome beyond that. Spotlight is a versatile search tool, but it simply shows the app that was last used for a given query. On iOS, there is the 'Suggestions' box in the App Library, which displays four apps based on your usage patterns. It is often useful, but the experience could be even better on a computer. Here, a keyboard is always accessible, and predictions can be much more accurate even with just one or two letters. So I’ve been working on this context-aware app switcher named Applight, which is now available as a public beta starting today. Here are some key features: As soon as you press the modifier key of your choice, the app displays apps that you might want to use in that context. Type a letter or two, or press a number key, to quickly select the app you want to use. Open the selected app by just releasing your modifier key. Every person has a different way of using their computer. The app tailors its prediction algorithm based on your usage patterns. https://seungwoochoe.github.io/applight

Hello everyone! Zealous Notes is a (zealous) alternative to the standard Notes app. Give it a shot; tell me what you think of it. Here's the blurb: It has familiar Notes app features, including: On iPhone & iPad: Inline PDF documents Speech Recognition Markup Mode Apple Spotlight Search integration iPad: Handwriting Recognition ( via Apple Pencil) Edit notes side-by-side …and zealous features, including: Stack related notes on top of each other, as either: a permanent bundle of linked notes, or a transient #hashtag reference. Link notes to your Calendar events (by permission only!) Toggle Header & List options inline with your text. Subdivide your notes into sections, to ease editing of your notes' related ideas, optionally, each with its own undo-redo memory. Draggable Controls .…and more! Zealous Notes will never mine, manipulate, or abscond with any of your data. Open a new note & tap the “Getting Started” guide to get started! **for the curious: 'Zealous Notes' is built upon its ancestor app — 'Text & Markup'. As installed, it will appear as 'Zealous Notes'. Once the updated app is pushed onto the App Store proper, 'Zealous Notes' will fully supplant the old name. This ought to ease the transition to the new app for existing 'Text & Markup' users.

I spend my days in my browsers. I also automate a lot of things using the built-in macOS Shortcuts automation system, but Chrome etc. lacks support for Shortcuts. Getting data out of these browsers usually requires either software development and scripting experience, or the use of external tools and services. I wanted to change that, to remove that external step, and so Browser Actions was born. Local-first, Shortcuts-first! Check the site for the list of new actions etc.: https://actions.work/browser-actions

myTime is a simple app to keep track of your working time. I would be very happy if some of you would test the app and let me know any problems you encounter. I develop my apps in my spare time, so don’t expect a big corporate app ;) Any feedback is welcome. Thank you and have fun!

Subjects is an app for students to track timetables, homework, and grades. While having a simple and minimalistic UI, under the hood, it is packed with advanced features to deal with complex schedules, assignments, and grading. The app's primary focus is to give students relevant details about what's happening now and coming next. So we boiled down the main UI into two most frequently used views Timetable and Homework. The key unique feature is sharing information with classmates who attend the same school or courses. The idea is to reduce the amount of work required to configure the app for the needs of a particular student. In that scenario, students can collaborate to share common timetables and assignments, and everyone will have up-to-date information on their devices.

You can swiftly capture notes without sacrificing details, record meetings, create social media posts, and much more... Simply open the app, start speaking, and witness the magic! Your feedback would be incredibly valuable to me! That is why I am here! :) Thank you in advance!

SwiftPrompt is supposed to be an intuitive lightweight prompt terminal for MacOS to instantly perform AI prompts and get responses. To simplify the process you can select any content to provide context for your prompt (at the moment text and files are supported). In addition, you can insert the response immediately into your environment such as your favorite editor. More features are coming soon. I am looking for testers that try the app to see if the current features work well across different systems. Would love to hear any constructive feedback and suggestions. Cheers, Mo (https://swiftprompt.ai)
