Titles: Loops.

Tim Kettering, Software Engineer at Lyft, sits in front of a gray background.
He wears a blue button down shirt with jeans.

Now, Tim signs.

Tim: Loops allow you to execute functions or commands over and over and over again. You wouldn’t want to type out the command brushYourTeeth as many times as you want it to repeat. Instead, you’d want to set up a loop containing the brushYourTeeth command. A loop can repeat one, two, three or even 100 times! It is entirely up to you! Or, a loop can run forever until something in the code causes it to stop running. That’s what we mean by loops!
