Design - Copycats. Rejection
Hi. After a few attempts to submit my game, it is still rejected with the following reason: Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats The submitted app is designed and developed 100% from the scratch, and I don't know the reason of the issue, as I can’t identify which part of the metadata is the issue. After sending a messages to moderation team asking to specify which exactly part of the metadata is the issue, and which other app do they mean, I’m still getting the same template reply, referring to the “Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats”. I have even updated the icon, believing that it was the reason of issue, but it was not a solution. Now I don’t really know what to do? Here is the full warning message: —————— “Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats This app or its metadata appears to be misrepresenting itself as another popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform. Review not approved even after prove
Hi, I'm struggling really hard to have my app approved on App Store and the reviewer don't provide any useful information to help us understand what's missing and how we can work it out, just some automatic messages like that: Thank you for providing this information. However, the documentation you have provided does not sufficiently demonstrate permission to represent the products or services included in your app, or the parties identified in the documentation are not correct. You can attach documentary evidence in the App Review Information section in App Store Connect. Once you have submitted the necessary authorization, we can continue with your app’s review. This is really frustrating because my app is already up and running on Google and Apple is this BS. Actually we think the reviewer is referring to our own app on Google because on a different comment they talked about Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats, so I tried to prove ownership of the Google app but apparently they find it insufficient e

Our application got rejected due to Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats
Hi, everyone here. My team needs help to solve the problem Copycats after we attempted a few submitting, but we didn't get a clear answer. Do anyone experience this troubles like us so it would be great to receive some explanation why we are getting into this situation since we create everything by ourselves - logo, description, and pictures. What we can assume is we already release in Android version already; is this might be the case Apple sees us imitating our own app in another platform? Thank you.

TCG Cards - "4.1.0 Design: Copycats" Reject
Hello, I am interested in TCG cards and decided to create an app. I developed an app related to Pokémon cards that provides brief information about the cards, allows users to scan their cards with AI, and includes a Portfolio page where users can view their own cards. However, the app was rejected with the reason 4.1.0 Design: Copycats from the review team. After this, I reviewed published apps and added a disclaimer to the description, but my issue still persists. The most recent response from the review team was essentially as follows: You need to remove elements from your app's metadata, such as names and screenshots, that may infringe on brand usage. However, it is not feasible for me to present the purpose of the app without these elements. Pokémon does not grant licensing for such use, and my intention was not to compete with Pokémon but to create a simple, user-friendly app for Pokémon fans. If anyone with experience in this matter could provide assistance, I would greatly appreciate it.

App Review Rejection Under Guideline 4.1
Hey, I submitted my game for review several times over the last two weeks, and I keep getting rejeted under the 4.1 Design Copycat guidelines. Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats This app or its metadata appears to be misrepresenting itself as another popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform. Apps should be unique and should not attempt to deceive users into thinking they are downloading something they are not. I have tried contacting and writing to the support team several times but I get absolutely no response. The game is completely built from scratch and I own all rights to it which is clearly mentioned as well. There hasn't been a single thing that I have used in the game that is not owned by me and the game in general is completely original and novel with its design, and not trying to compete or derive its design from any other game in the app store. All I just is more clarity and information

Request for Clarification on App Review Feedback
I have developed a mobile app for an electronics marketplace where users can buy and sell electronics. I submitted my app for review, and I received the following feedback: Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats The app or its metadata appears to contain potentially misleading content. Specifically, the app includes content that resembles (MyAppName) without the necessary authorization. This is my first app launch, and I would like some clarification on how to address this issue. I’m unsure of the specific content that might resemble myApp and would appreciate guidance on what exactly I need to modify or provide to meet the review guidelines. Could you please clarify the next steps I should take? I would be happy to provide further information if necessary.

App rejection vagueness
Hey, I am trying to publish on appstore a game for the first time. The game was rejected by apple due to Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats This app or its metadata appears to be misrepresenting itself as another popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform. and no matter what, the reviewer is not clarifying or answering any questions, just more vague copy paste answers. Is this typical in apple ecosystem? is there any way of getting proper answers and specifics for why an app is rejected? maybe paying bribes for the correct guys?

4.1.0 Design: Copycats
For several months now, I have been trying to publish my app in the store, but I keep encountering the same copycat error. Since I started, I have modified absolutely everything in the game, yet I am consistently rejected without any explanation, even when I send messages. It is very frustrating to keep improving my game and always face the same situation. Could you help me and at least tell me what changes or improvements I need to make? Changes in My Game Licenses and Templates: Gunny Rush uses templates with all the necessary licenses. Unique Characters: We have five unique characters, animated from scratch by our team. Character Verification: We have implemented a verification system that allows users to use characters they own in their wallets within the game. Point Multiplier System: The more Inugis (characters) players have in the game, the higher the multiplier, and the more points they will earn per game. Dynamic Levels: Levels update dynamically as the player progresses through the game. Cu

Design: Copycats 4.1 - iOS
Hi, My game is rejected because of Design: Copycats 4.1. I sent a message to the technical support, two or three days passed and there was no news. Now I don't know what the reason for this warning is? If he thinks that it is a design and an icon, it is not the same at all. The whole design has been done from zero to hundred. I really don't know what to do? The full warning message is: Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats This app or its metadata appears to be misrepresenting itself as another popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform. Apps should be unique and should not attempt to deceive users into thinking they are downloading something they are not. Next Steps Learn more about requirements to prevent apps from impersonating other apps or services in guideline 4.1. Revise the app to comply with these requirements. Once the app is fully compliant, resubmit the app for review.
