Hey, I submitted my game for review several times over the last two weeks, and I keep getting rejeted under the 4.1 Design Copycat guidelines. Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats This app or its metadata appears to be misrepresenting itself as another popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform. Apps should be unique and should not attempt to deceive users into thinking they are downloading something they are not. I have tried contacting and writing to the support team several times but I get absolutely no response. The game is completely built from scratch and I own all rights to it which is clearly mentioned as well. There hasn't been a single thing that I have used in the game that is not owned by me and the game in general is completely original and novel with its design, and not trying to compete or derive its design from any other game in the app store. All I just is more clarity and information

I have developed a mobile app for an electronics marketplace where users can buy and sell electronics. I submitted my app for review, and I received the following feedback: Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats The app or its metadata appears to contain potentially misleading content. Specifically, the app includes content that resembles (MyAppName) without the necessary authorization. This is my first app launch, and I would like some clarification on how to address this issue. I’m unsure of the specific content that might resemble myApp and would appreciate guidance on what exactly I need to modify or provide to meet the review guidelines. Could you please clarify the next steps I should take? I would be happy to provide further information if necessary.

Hi,After I tried to submit my APP for review several times, it was still rejected for the following reasons: Guideline 4.1-Design-Copycats: The app or its metadata appears to contain potentially misleading content. Specifically, the app includes content that resembles ODIKING without the necessary authorization. Hi. After a few attempts to submit my game, it is still rejected with the following reason: Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats The submitted app is designed and developed 100% from the scratch, and I don't know the reason of the issue, as I can’t identify which part of the metadata is the issue. After sending a messages to moderation team asking to specify which exactly part of the metadata is the issue, and which other app do they mean, I’m still getting the same template reply, referring to the “Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats”. I have even updated the icon, believing that it was the reason of issue, but it was not a solution. Now I don’t really know what to do? Here is the full warning message: —————— “Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats This app or its metadata appears to be misrepresenting itself as another popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform. Hey, I am trying to publish on appstore a game for the first time. The game was rejected by apple due to Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats This app or its metadata appears to be misrepresenting itself as another popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform. and no matter what, the reviewer is not clarifying or answering any questions, just more vague copy paste answers. Is this typical in apple ecosystem? is there any way of getting proper answers and specifics for why an app is rejected? maybe paying bribes for the correct guys?

For several months now, I have been trying to publish my app in the store, but I keep encountering the same copycat error. Since I started, I have modified absolutely everything in the game, yet I am consistently rejected without any explanation, even when I send messages. It is very frustrating to keep improving my game and always face the same situation. Could you help me and at least tell me what changes or improvements I need to make? Changes in My Game Licenses and Templates: Gunny Rush uses templates with all the necessary licenses. Unique Characters: We have five unique characters, animated from scratch by our team. App Review
Hi, My game is rejected because of Design: Copycats 4.1. I sent a message to the technical support, two or three days passed and there was no news. Now I don't know what the reason for this warning is? If he thinks that it is a design and an icon, it is not the same at all. The whole design has been done from zero to hundred. I really don't know what to do? The full warning message is: Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats This app or its metadata appears to be misrepresenting itself as another popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform. Apps should be unique and should not attempt to deceive users into thinking they are downloading something they are not. Next Steps Learn more about requirements to prevent apps from impersonating other apps or services in guideline 4.1. Revise the app to comply with these requirements. Once the app is fully compliant, resubmit the app for review.
Hello, After submitting my app for review, it was rejected due to the Copycats guideline: This app or its metadata appears to be misrepresenting itself as another popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform. The problem is, it is an original app and I have no idea why they considered it a copycat. After various attempts to clarify, and mentioning every reason I could think of that could have made them think its a copycat, I always get basically the same answer. In the last answer they added: Please note resubmission without any revision will not be processed any further. We look forward to reviewing your app once the appropriate changes have been made. The app is a game called G-Switch 4: Creator, the sequel to G-Switch 3 (which is on the App Store). I have detailed why this sequel is a very significant improvement to the previous (level editing and sharing, and other features). I have expl
Regarding 4.1, I deleted the ranking and text of the title according to your instructions and submitted it. It turned into 4.3(a) spam. How should I deal with it? Why did it become 4.3? This app or its metadata appears to be misrepresenting itself as another popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform. Apps should be unique and should not attempt to deceive users into thinking they are downloading something they are not.... I have faced multiple rejections for my app due to the same issue. However, the Apple reviewer has not provided any specific information about where the issue lies, making it difficult for me to address it. In the subsequent steps, I was instructed to thoroughly review the app store review guidelines and ensure compliance with them, which I have done. I have also reached out to the app review team but have not received a response yet. It is frustrating that the email does not mention the exact content that is being considered as copied. It feels like a generic message, and I am unsure about the next course of action. If anyone has been in a similar situation or has insights into

Apps should be unique and should not attempt to deceive users into thinking they are downloading something they are not.... For the past four years, my app has been live on the Play Store and is also accessible on several other platforms. Despite this, my attempts to publish it on the App Store have been consistently rejected citing Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats. Apple has not specified the exact proof of rights they are looking for. To address this, I have recorded my personal Google Play Developer Console account to showcase that I possess all the required rights to manage the app on Google Play. I am seeking advice on the best course of action to resolve this issue.
I work for a company that provides services implementing, maintaining, and publishing systems for municipalities. We have now developed an app for a municipality, but when trying to publish it, Apple is rejecting it, stating that we cannot publish on behalf of another company. On the first submission, they rejected it with: Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats The app or its metadata appears to contain potentially misleading content. Specifically, the app includes content that resembles Sistema da Prefeitura without the necessary authorization. Next Steps Please demonstrate your relationship with any third-party brand owners represented in the app. We obtained a digitally signed document from the municipality stating that we are responsible for their systems, authorizing everything, etc... We made a new submission for review. However, it was now rejected with: Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage The app must be published under a seller and company name that is associated with
