I'm not able to edit app's screenshots while it's in waiting for review status. I had to reject the binary to update the screenshots. Is this a recent change? It still says the following message too.
You can edit all information while your version is waiting for review. To submit a new build, you must remove this version from review.

This is still a problem as of 11pm on 8/19. This is really bad. The DOM hack above allows you to delete screenshots, but not add or reorder.
As sunilr says, don't delete screenshots/videos as you cannot add them back right now while your app is "Waiting for Review".
+1 - Can someone from APPL please confirm that this is an issue and when there might be a fix?

There's been a quiet change in their policy. The following is from a senior advisor with Apple Developer Program Support.
I am contacted you regarding the issue you encountered when attempting to edit screenshots. I have received an update from our internal teams and they have confirmed the behavior you are experiencing is now expected behavior.
Screenshots are considered “locked” metadata and can only be edited if the app is in one of the following states:
Prepare for Submission
Waiting for Export Compliance
Upload Received
Rejected
Metadata Rejected
Developer Rejected
Invalid Binary
So we are no longer allowed to remove or swap screenshots unless you first reject the application. You can swap screenshots at the time of submitting a software update to Mac App Store but will be stopped once you finalize submission.
Seem like the issue has been fixed. Recently I can replace screenshots, while my app is "Waiting for Review"
You are right. The red remove button has been restored on my account as well. I can also swap screenshots while an application is 'waiting for review.' I don't know what the truth is any more.
Is this for sure? We are still allowed to change out screenshots while waiting for review right?
