App video preview Error

We include an app video preview in our current app submission. The video uploaded fine and went throught the review process. Now the app is ready for release, but when looking at the preview in iTunes connect it has an overlay over the video with message


"App Video Preview Error Some error has occurred with your app video preview"


Has anyone else seen this?

For me, one of Videos is OK, the others with errors. Wrote about problem to Apple today in the morning.

I am getting the same "Some error has occurred..." message. It appears to be a bug in Safari and the upload itself is fine. If I add a screen shot and save, when the page reloads the error is often fixed. I have the same error for app previews I uploaded in the past and know to work fine. I would expect Apple to fix this in an Mac OSX update. If anyone has the latest OSX beta, give it a try and let us know if you still get the error.

I'm on latest 10.11.2 beta, but error persisits.

This worked for me, too. Kept getting "App Video Preview Error" on many attempts (tried a couple different formats) yesterday (Nov 11). Tried a final attempt last night - this morning (Nov 12) still had the same error.


Finally, looked back and found Jozsef's note. Logged out. Did the clear Safari cache (Preferences --> Privacy --> Remove All Website Data). When I went back in problem was gone. Videos were there and working.

I am seeing the error for one of my three videos. I tried opening iTunes Connect in a private window and the problem went away. So, as others have mentioned, it appears to be an issue with the front-end and the video itself has processed fine.


My guess is that clearing your browser cache would also solve the problem, since I believe viewing in a private window bypasses the cache.

Confirming it is a front end problem, videos were actually uploaded fine.

We are experiencing the same thing: videos get uploaded and saved, but when we come back to our iTunes Connect account a few moments later, we see the error message.

I had the same, waiting forever then saving and then my video was gone. Until I clicked on the video preview with the 'hourglass', then it opened and played the video for a short while. Clicked it away and there no more hourglass and I was able to save the video. Afterwards you do get a message the video can take up to 24 hours to process.

I had this exact same problem. I tried exporting it with Quicktime, iMovie, and even After Effects. The only solution I found was a video editor called Blink for iPhone on the App Store. Works perfectly every time. https://appsto.re/us/9WD09.i
