I downloaded the GM seed, put the ATV into recovery mode, and attempted to restore it in iTunes. It went for a minute and then said "The Apple TV could not be restored… isn’t eligible for requested build.”
What's that all about?

Has anyone tried going into the software update in the settings and see if it will install there?
So it's not just me. I'm having the same issue. Using iTunes 12.3.1.23.
My box says the software is up to date, but still on Beta 3. I have it set to Auto Update, it may do that by itself later on.
ATV doesn't see the update yet.

Apple may not sign it yet.
Download page back to just saying "We'll be back soon", so maybe they found the issue preventing updates and putting up a new build?
not back to saying that for me I was just able to redownlaod the file again....
Update Itunes
Same here. No update available on the ATV and trying to restore using the tvOS GM from iTunes (12.3.1.23) doesn't work.
Got the latest iTunes... doesn't matter.
