iCloud verificiation failed

I updated to ios 9.3 beta 3 on my iPhone 5s and made a backup because I was planning to factory reset my phone the restoring it with this backup with ios 9.3 beta 3 in it. After restoring my phone, I was not able to sign into iCloud. Everytime I would try it would constantly say Verification Failed. I have tried using different networks and I have restored network settings. I am still not able to sign into iCloud. I have figured out that my iCloud is not the issue but it is something with my backup I presume. I have also tried factory reseting my phone and signing into iCloud and it does work. I have no clue how to solve this issue please help!

Same issue here, have reported to Apple.

Same issue, I haven't found a resolution. My phone is now unusable because there are only 9.3 backups in iCloud, my 9.2.1 backups are now overwritten.

exactly same thing here.

same issue here... got my iphone exchanged and was trying to restore the new one from the backup... but i keep getting the error... have been trying lots of different solutions so far but without luck...

I'm having the same issue.

I really hope this is server side issue... I restored to the 2nd public beta and got the same problem. I expect this to be solved on Monday when Apple reads these threads! #fingerscrossed

so... i also tried stepping back to public beta 2 but it didn't help... looks like the issue lies with the backup process and not the restore process... afaik there wasn't an issue with the PB2 so this seems to be new...

After fighting with this all weekend I found a method that worked for me.

I put the phone in to recovery and restored to 9.3 beta 2. I then restored my backup (in my case I recovered the backup from my Mac, not sure if that matters). Like others have stated, that did not work. However, the device is now on beta 2 and can be updated to beta 3. I went to developer.apple.com and downloaded configuration profile to the phone (all the while the phone is complaining about not being able to authenticate). After doing the OTA update to beta 3 I can now login and the restore is completeing without issues!

I've been at this trying all sorts of different methods all weekend. Hopefully this helps some of you out and works for you as well.

I've followed your steps so far but I can't figure out how to get the configuration profile. I'm on the public beta of iOS 9.3, do I need to be a developer to access the configuration profile? If so, can somebody help me (temporarily add my Apple ID to your developer account)? I can't really afford the $99 just to be able to use my phone :(

The way I did it is though the developer configuration profile but I would guess that it would work the same with the public beta. I've not done the public beta before but however you download the update for the public beta, do that. Download the 9.3 beta 3 after installing and restoring from 9.3 beta 2. If you can do the public beta from an over the air update that is how I did it (but for the developer version). That should work pretty much the same way.

Where can i obtain the 2nd beta, im a pubic tester with the same issue, but cant find a way to roll back the betas, issue carries over to itunes aswell, cant log in to store to update/download apps, wont even let me log out of itune/icloud to turn off find my iphone to erase all contents and settings

I can confirm your workaround... Glad to have my phone back... Restored the public beta 2 Ipsw file, did the restore and then the update with the public beta OTA profile... Thanks!

Not sure if it is allowed to post the links here, but there are official apple download links for the beta 2 ipsw files... I'd recommend you Google "iOS Beta" and you might want to add the name of that social news site that starts with RED to that search... Then just scroll down to the beta 2 and pick the correct link for your device...

Have you been able to resolve your problem. I am also experiencing the same problem.

Had to swap out my iPad Air 2 from the Apple Store today.

I tried those sites, only have beta 3 on there database now, cant seem to find a beta 2, im at my whits end, all if my icloud stuff has been put in to place (apps greyed out, pictures and video's put in camera roll but all blank) phone is logged in to icloud with find my iphone active but doesnt show on find my iphone app, im about to blow up here! Yeah i know were all warned about the issues we may have, but for it to work in beta 2 and not work in beta 3 is whats buggin most of all, later betas are meant to iron out issues not gain them lol
